Instead of relative time. Pic related is a good example of why absolute time is a must. Without absolute time stamps it is absolutely impossible to get a sense of when the posts in the screen grab happened and this impossible to get a sense of context. It's the same cancer as with Twitter / X. Ever saw a screenshot of a post and wonder when exactly this happened? And it was some arbitrary number like 2 weeks, 3 months, 4 years ago? This is by design.

The only reason for relative time is if you want to distort truth and dismiss facts. Change it and if you just have it at all change it so absolute time always shows anyways.

If you disagree you are a glowie who wants his job made easier.
Replies: >>2419
Oh yeah while you're at it show the time zone as well or have it default to UTC so post times are 100% accurate.
>>2391 (OP)
Absolute time is a good default for screenshots but it would be annoying if there was no setting to change it to relative.
Alternatively, this is a reason for the website itself to have a screenshot button. Use relative time by default but when someone selects posts for a screenshot, it gives absolute time.

There is a setting to change it, right now you have to manually change it to absolute which is ass is what I'm saying.

4chan is taking an unusually long time to come back online. Some aren't sure if they are even able to restore the site in a reasonable time frame or at all.

Do not waste this opportunity.
Now is the time to act by making a few accommodations for refugees. Frustrations with the downtime are growing. Make a /v/ board at minimum and perhaps several other 4chan equivalent boards.

I don't know why /v/ isn't here yet, but in principle there shouldn't be a rule against it since /tv/ is here. I think the issue is just that this site has been slowly expanding the board list as the userbase and administration team grows.

If you are unsure about adding more boards at the moment, my advice is to just do it anyway at least as a temporary measure. If adding them fails to attract people before 4chan comes back online, the boards can be closed and their threads moved to /gen/.

If ourchan signals that it will be accommodating for refugees and their interests, it will attract more people. The altchan competition is actually terrible at the moment. If people know about this place, they will prefer it.

indeed. We have spoilers for a reason.
I think we'll have to revisit it's use when it'll become /uhg/ monkey tier gorespam, but i don't personally believe those glowmonkeys are able to post here without VPNs.

>If there's anyone who would refuse to come here if we don't allow porn, do we really want him anyways?
Fuck no, we don't. I am so tired of vague hornyposting on every board, if not tranny bbc spam. If no porn is a deal breaker to a poster, then they're a chimpanzee with no self control.

Can I have my /tg/ from 2009 to 2012 back please, kthxbye. If you add it there's no reason to add any other boards anymore, you won't need em

Just a thought, but one of the FEW redeeming qualities of 4Fags was the holiday fun boards.
I don't mean like the cheap party hats or obnoxious Chrismas jEWSIC that you couldn't turn off without a script, but the fun ones like 2020 April fools day, Fortune cookies, and New Years and Christmas.
Maybe we're too young of a site yet, and maybe it's too late for Easter this year, but It'd be cool to have an Easter egg hunt where there are VERRRY SMOL hyperlink symbols, that link to pics of Easter eggs and Easter candy ☼ Φ Θ φ ✞ ✪ Etc...
Sort of a First year collectible.

I unnerstann this is at least a week late, AND that you guys are dealing with a 1001 new posts/day all of a sudden.
Just food for thought.
Hell, I may just try out some 'Sperimentin' on my own.

There is so much divisionfagging over this. It'd be good to have a dedicated place to keep the arguments out of other threads.
Low effort bait:
>Muh Christcucks
>Muh Paganlarpers
would be sent to /hell/.

It's a smart move. Religious debate is endless and all consuming. Halfchan let it derail /pol/ and /his/ while refusing to acknowledge it needed it's own board
actually a good idea, or better yet contain religious people to the /hell/ board. I dont want them shitting up the threads
>>2200 (OP)
can this thread please be moved to the religion board

With the boards current pace, a Circle the Wagons /ctw/ for homesteaders, preppers, doomers etc would be a nice place that encourages effort posting.

I'll 2rd that.
I was in many of the FC threads and the few on 4Troons.
Now that the Cesspoole got hacked by 'tards, we're seeing a nice influx of new posters.

Really kinda nice that the Mods had the stress tests in the beginning months for pressure testing, so now they are ready, with an almost blank slate chan for the refugees to pour into.

I like this idea. I browsed and posted in the /hmg/ threads on /out/ back before the hack

I second this. I'd like to see it for all boards, honestly. It's far easier to weed out divide-and-conquer shills plus sub-retard level trolls just creating unentertaining noise.

Is there an option to sage a thread?
