When it first started we tried to limit the number of boards so it looked more active. /tv/ and /mu/ where added relatively recently. Now that there is a refugee crises you may be correct that mirror boards of 4troons should be made so we can make this the alternative which was the plan from the get go. 4Chan refugee here. Sorry if this has been discussed to death already, but is there a reason there is no anime bord? It's the only thing I would be really missing if I would migrate here and manga/anime has been a core aspect of image bord culture since the early days.

the board has been slow to add new ones since it has been well slow until now. Imagine there is going to be a lot of requests for matching boards. Meta is where you get your bullhorn. I know we joked about it at first, but is there a way to make a board or specific thread be Tegaki only for the cursive exclusive idea? Furthermore, a board that's gallery only (no text) is an interesting alternative to /news/. Maybe the source code getting leaked could give you some ideas.

No thanks. The entire premise of a "containment board" is fallacious. If you make a board for a certain kind of people, they come in droves.

The reason 4chan is nigger porn central is because they have boards dedicated to it. If someone said that we needed a containment board for child porn, you would think they are insane. Don't invite pedophiles to begin with. I am happy to be on a website that is fundamentally boring for dopamine starved porn addicts and people with small forebrains. If you need porn, the Internet is nothing but an ocean of free porn.

As far as practical reasons go, I'm quite certain that 4chan's server hosting costs are insane because so much of the traffic is just porn. Making up for those costs with advertising or donations is incredibly inefficient. Any imageboard that can exist without porn boards should do so just to keep the costs down.

Only really been coming to 4chan in the past few years for /qst/ and I'm a bit worried where the QMs I've been following will go.

I also agree with the sentiment to exclude porn.
It may be a good idea to seperate /v/ from the general pop culture board so people can establish generals since those can get quite popular and attract some quality users, but that's up to you guys, I don't mind it currently with the lower volume of posts.
