How many patties is too many
Within this thread we discuss our favorite rice varieties and any dishes and recipes that go well with rice.
What’s the best way to wash your Garloids after milking? I’ve read that tap water can be harmful to their glands.
I miss the old shit boys. The shaped kinds (shout out to my scooby doo mac) were always cheesier than the elbows even going way back, but they only sell yidsney frozen shapes near me which a grown man of well repute can't be seen purchasing. Alas, I miss the old days my boys

Are there any other foods whose quality has degraded, that you miss dearly so? I remember famous amos cookies being better as a youngster, and disturbingly back then my father said they were even better when he was younger himself. Mcdicks is overpriced and those bastards will never bring the chicken selects back. I feel like we as a nation have been declining in food quality for decades. Rome is crumbling
What's up guys!

Finally finished my first ever home brewed Beer. It was a Coopers Lager kit. 1 can of Coopers LME, 1 KG of Dextrose in the fermenter.
14 day fermentation, 10 days bottle conditioning. Cracked open the first one today and I was pleasantly surprised! It's drinkable!!! And tastes like Beer! Although the body is a little light because of the Dextrose addition,
but other wise acceptable. I didn't take hydrometer readings but it has to be around 5% ABV (give or take) now that I've finished the first bottle. Brewing your own Beer is less than half the price of buying Beer at retail prices.
I got a homebrew kit for free from some guy giving away his setup, and I see a wonderful future in home brewing. No more going to the liquor store and doing their whole jewish humiliation ritual.
We're making our own stuff from now on. Hopefully one day I can make stuff similar in quality to popular german lagers, that's the end-goal. But that's more about time and process than having a fancy setup.

Any other home brewers on this board? What have y'all been brewing lately?
Redpill me on panettone
Are wagecucks tempted to eat the delicious food they prepare?

My digestive system is completely crippled on account of food poisoning that happened a decade ago, Im at a point where as a last ditch effort, I will go carnivore diet as to "ease" my intestines. It's kind of hard though anons, and expensive. Does anyone have any tricks or tips?
Alright /ck/, let’s talk post-Apocalyptic meal preparation. When SHTF, you won't have access to fresh groceries, electricity might be a luxury, and you’ll have to rely on whatever you’ve stockpiled. Either you start preparing mentally for the improbable or you will be doing the inevitable, which is making love to a man for half a can of expired brown beans.
We wouldn't want that would we now?

Which is best?
>Canned vs. Dehydrated vs. Freeze-Dried

How to
>DIY Preserving – Pickling, smoking, fermenting
>Cooking Without Power – Fire pits, solar ovens, rocket stoves
>Bartering & Foraging (FARMING)

WHAT
>Caloric Density & Nutrition – What foods keep you alive the longest?
>The importance of stocking SALT
>Seedprep (paramount for post apocalypse, not so much for SHTF)

How will you prepare?

Feel free to chime in and contribute as i will do the same over the course of the next few weeks (waging too much)
Bros I want to use Desecrated coconut to make pinja collada.. instead of cocunut milk.
Does it work?
I'm never downloading tiktok, and I'd prefer we just made a more sophisticated doom scrolling.

Post at least 3 plz, thnk u
I'm going to leave some braindroppings here and see if anyone wants to discuss further. I'm going to give my personal take on the rising obesity, skipping out on well discussed topics like HFCS and fast food.

There have been changes on the genetic level such as GMOs but even "normal" fruit are actually abnormal through decades of selective breeding to give larger and supposedly nicer fruit. In reality the amount of nutrients a tree can push through into the fruit has remained mostly the same and the fruits are bigger but on average have the same amount vitamins and other nutrients that aren't sugar or fibrous tissue. The density of nutrients has dropped. This means the ratio of nutrition to simply sugar has dropped.

The brain and body work together with the gut bacteria to no just feed yourself but also send stimuli over what and how much you eat. Everyone talks about muh glucose slop but noone mentions the overall decline in quality of food and ever higher proportions of sugar to any actual nutrition that is badly needed by the lardasses you see waddling around. The subconscious brain will direct you to eat what you need. It's not a perfect system and there is one situation where it goes haywire - everything around is so spiked with sugar that eating more to get other macro and micro nutrients you need, causes you to eat way too much sugar and then have a host of problems starting with simply getting way too fat.

Most would simply go for organic veggies and fruit but simply avoiding fast food and the like isn't enough. You'd need to adapt your diet to cut out potatoes/grain/grain-products and whatever other high energy food (sugar, not fat, why that is I might say in another post) you eat to compensate correctly - keeping the sugar/fat/protein you eat in balance with other nutrition since you now need to eat more fruit and veg. There's very little difference in starch and simple monosugars. Enzymes in your saliva will break down starches to very short chains (glucose is one "link" of a chain of a particular starch, sugar commonly found in European candy is 2-link chain of glucose and fructose) and the rest of your digestive tract will break it down further before it reaches the small intestine where it is absorbed. Any memes you see about "lasting energy" from starches in breakfast ((( cereal ))) is a meme unto itself because by all sugars are ready to hit your bloodstream by the time they get to a point where they can be absorbed into the body. This is why eating more "vitamin-rich superfoods" isn't enough, you'll be eating way more sugars as a result. I don't know of any studies but I'm sure there's a simple and clear link between reduction of nutrition by density of produce and people getting fat as their bodies subconsciously cry out for them to eat more to get those vitamins they inevitably up the calorie intake and blow up.

Healthy eating dead. Wat nou?

> I propose high-energy food like potatoes, rice & grain/grain-products are reduced to lower sugar intake
> Mindful eating overall, if you're going to be doing physical activity feel free to gorge, you'll be using all that energy anyway
> Eat all the eggs. You have to eat all the eggs.
> If you can't put the fork down, just find some good filler to feel full but not necessarily dump fat and sugar into yourself
> Try to find sources of food that will actually have the nutrition they should. Seasonal foods eaten during their season, not cheap greenhouse tomatoes for example, that will not have the same makeup as tomatoes grown properly with more that the bare minimum a hydroponics set up will usually use
> If at all possible, buy from people who have had trees on their yards/land that have been there for many years and grown from seeds of non-selectively bred slop machines used in ((( agriculture ))) at large
> If you are a landowner yourself, make sure you get keep that lineage of good food going and plant some trees/bushes for yourself, family & friends that will grow fruit and veg that is actually worth a damn
What's a good, noncaffeinated drink for the morning? Sometimes I drink too many coffees before breaktime and have no warm cuppa to sip with my morning snack without getting cracked out.

Also post about anything warm and sippable and appropriate for morning time enjoyment
Beer and grilled meat
Does it get any better

If you owned a movie theater what kind of food would you serve? Me? I'd serve crab legs
Raw meat with egg and salad.
>good beef steak
>apple cider vinegar
>salt
>olive oil
>2-3 eggs

Chunk the steak. Mix a splash of olive oil, lots of salt & vinegar in a bowl. Put steak in solution, should be covered by it, and wait till it's tinged grey/brown (5-10 min). Separate and salt yolks. Make salad of your choice. Enjoy!
Who can afford to drink this shit these days?

Prices are out of control, is it any wonder nobody is buying?
For me, it's the McChicken
Plz help
How do Italian restaurants prepare chicken for pasta dishes? It always seems more tender than I can make at home, and the coating seems more solid and consistent than I can figure out.

Pic related, it's from a restaurant I used to go to that closed some years ago. I've been able to duplicate this recipe almost exactly, just can't get the chicken quite right.
Wow this is unexpected. Cooking and a bunch of the other old boards including Television and Film have been allowed back into existence. Now that some popular niches are back I may be more inclined to post more often. Thanks mods and admin.
Bought this today at Costco.

Sounds interesting enough
What the fuck do we call this monstrosity?

Got any more? is it even edible?
They call this Hot Chicken

I did not cook it of course, it is takeout
