In this Thread, we will discuss All aspects of baking. The Staff of life has been stolen from you, and what once nourished, now often poisons.
In order to assist our Frens in not only saving money, but increasing healthy habit, this thread is for exchanging recipes and techniques, and welcomes ALL aspects of breads from pizza, to loaves, and even cake and pies.

>Gozney Tread
$500 is a pretty penny, but looking at the site, it looks worth it.
>Neapolitan pizzas in a home oven.
I'll bet I could make a pretty good go of it with a conventional gas oven and a 20# propane tank with a weed burner.

Another point to ponder:
I'll bet OP wouldn't mind if we posted stone oven plans here.
(kek)
You might consider giving this a shot, (GF is fine ITT, as in my OP, I acknowledge we have some gluten intolerant Frens,) it uses GF Caputo flour:

Also, while $12 (US) is a bit pricey for 1 Kilo(2.2lbs in Freedom units) I've known a few GF guys who, even though they would suffer for days afterward, would eat breads and pizza because they still LOVED it.
No need to torture yourself to enjoy a nice crispy pizza once a week(still WAY less than delivery pidzer)

Forgot to add:
This recipe apparently makes ~ 12/12" pizzas
seems worth it.

>$500 is a pretty penny
It's not the cheapest. For more than half there is the Vevor 13 inch propane at $126 on amazon USA and i guess it bakes Neapolitan pizzas right, you just won't be ecstatic like Stacy is in that pic.

I find sourdough more digestible than yeast based breads. It's nice for people with Celiacs to have an alternative, albeit a costly one.

This is an EXCELLENT post anon, and I appreciate that you explained WHY the grain products are so detrimental to gut flora--The Glyphosate--and that you'll be able to once again enjoy these real foods once you gut is recalibrated.
I've been preaching the same for over 6 years on the chans, and in addition, for intelligent anons to READ THEIR LABELS since the food supply today is "poisoned" from several different vectors.
<GLYPHOSATE- Gut flora NUKE
<SUCRALOSE- Genotoxin and Gut flora NUKE
<all artificial sweeteners- tricking the body through the gut-brain connection leads to metabolic dysregulation and a dampening of Ghrelin and Leptin (Hungry/Full hormones) and insulin dysregulation
<Seed oils-- While fats and cholesterol are ESSENTIAL for good health, these cheap and toxic oils are main contributors of inflammation and very possibly a secondary avenue of AG chems.

It's truly horrifying when you dig deeply into the contamination of the food supply for profit; Rice grown in arsenic soaked old cotton fields, BEEF, TURKEY, PORK and AND CHICKEN being treated by a chemical agonist in their food, so they don't have to claim medical tampering,(RACTOPAMINE-this shit is even BANNED in China...IN CHINA, let that sink in..,the sloppy way some chemical refinements of oils and additives like Gellan Gum,(added to almost all heavy cream--even Organic, even though it's from a vat grown MERCK™ bacterium fed on Glyphosate treated HFCS), leaving behind metabolites and other fractionated parts of the chemicals;
The fact that even NON-GMO sugar cane and sugar beets are now sprayed with Glyphosate as a chemical "Ripener" to get a 6% yield increase.

It's a minefield of chemical death in the grocery store.
A recent study on the French, a country you'd have thought jealously guarded their food supply, found that 99% of those tested had easily measurable levels of Glyphosate in their blood serum.
FFS, The FRENCH??
Turns out only a few countries like Spain actually gave a fuck about preserving the integrity of their food.

I like the cut of your gib anon. The way I see it, we are in an asymmetrical war. We're intentionally being poisoned, and not just for profit. It's also being done, to make us dumber and more dependent on corporations and the government. A perpetually sick person, is robbed not just of their wealth, but also their independence.

It's crazy how challenging it is to avoid poison in our food. Even if you know all of the tricks, you have to watch out for new loopholes and new poisons that haven't been created yet. And knowing isn't enough. You have to be able to have the money to afford to avoid all of this shit. Organic food (what our ancestors just called 'food'), is more expensive than poisoned food, by design. And as you pointed out with heavy cream, the organic label still isn't enough to fully protect you.

My long term goal is to become wealthy enough, that I can buy good quality farm land (in a 90% or higher white area) and grow all of the food that I eat. That way I have direct control over my food. I'll start out with a small garden, and gradually scale up over time. I want my own well water, that's uncontaminated by fluoride, and pesticide runoff from commercial farms.

In regards to using a rice cooker, pressure cooker (that has a yogurt function), or cheaper yogurt makers, the main problem is consistency of temperature. Most of those alternatives don't maintain a consistent temperature. They cycl

Alright /ck/, let’s talk post-Apocalyptic meal preparation. When SHTF, you won't have access to fresh groceries, electricity might be a luxury, and you’ll have to rely on whatever you’ve stockpiled. Either you start preparing mentally for the improbable or you will be doing the inevitable, which is making love to a man for half a can of expired brown beans.
We wouldn't want that would we now?

Which is best?
>Canned vs. Dehydrated vs. Freeze-Dried

How to
>DIY Preserving – Pickling, smoking, fermenting
>Cooking Without Power – Fire pits, solar ovens, rocket stoves
>Bartering & Foraging (FARMING)

WHAT
>Caloric Density & Nutrition – What foods keep you alive the longest?
>The importance of stocking SALT
>Seedprep (paramount for post apocalypse, not so much for SHTF)

Racks could be repurposed into growracks as well.

lots of uses for those. You can maximize use by also cutting off the top and bottom with sidecutter openers.
☼ Lanterns
☼ repair metal
☼ scoops (having a pop-rivet gun isgreat for this, but it can be done with self tapping screws or using a nail to start the hole)
☼ fill with dirt or sand and stack staggered under windows as bullet barrier
☼ fill with water or sand and make cord handles for lifting weights.
☼ foraging bucket
☼ open the top with a side cutter can opener, clean when empty, line with corrugated cardboard-2 tight fitting rounds for top and bottom, and a long rectangle the height of the can for the side-- fill with backups of sensitive electronics like backup phones, walkies(antennas unscrewed), watches, thumb drives and SD cards -- solder or securely tape lid back on for a makeshift faraday cage
☼ Rocket stove--instructions are all over YT, some good, some bad.
You get the Idea. There are hundreds more things you can do with them. just think of them more like sheet metal that's in the shape of a can already but doesn't have to be.
They can be cut with heavy duty scissors, but metal shears are much better.
Use Gloves
Nothing will shit on your plans to survive quicker than getting a nasty cut that gets infected. Even worse would be accidentally cutting a tendon in your hand. You don't want to lose use of a hand in any situation, let along

You can usually tell right off the bat, there is just so much GARBAGE content these days.
The GOOD tutorials on rocket stoves will have:
<best ratio for draw=3:1
<not require special purchases
<can be either big steel cans lined with vermiculite(long term)
<Cinderblocks arranged like pic
Ironically, they AREN'T Rocket science, but there are so many retards who just throw any "content" to get views, you could be wading through videos all day long.

THIS:

And then this improvement;

https://youtu.be/yRLR07GRgvQ

Is about as good as it gets- filling it with dirt is fine, You don't need vermiculite.
I prefer the cinderblock ones. If I need to bug out, I'm using my little camp stove, If I'm staying in place I want something beefier--LAST thing you want is your shit to topple over and losing valuable food or water.

Yeah, I'm GenX, and the "Static" versions of most all of these were in the POS magazine rack at the grocery store as a kid.(still are); Good housekeeping, McCalls, Woman's World, Home...
People often forget that Memes themselves pre-date the word itself.
While the written word, then pictures, then motion video, all have the ability to transmit information into the future, the increasing passivity of it has damaged general intellect--or at least usage of one's brain in generating "The mind's eye view" has been more deeply detrimental to humanity when weighed against the benefits of "whole package" information.
I mean, while it is helpful to watch a how-to video on fixing your car, or assembling a manufactured thing, or even teaching some processes like cooking or building etc. (fixed processes), there is a tendency for not only propagation of BAD information/process; but also a creativity stifling, homogenization of thought as to "how to do X" which people will without fail repeat, and rabidly defend when challenged.

I'm going to leave some braindroppings here and see if anyone wants to discuss further. I'm going to give my personal take on the rising obesity, skipping out on well discussed topics like HFCS and fast food.

There have been changes on the genetic level such as GMOs but even "normal" fruit are actually abnormal through decades of selective breeding to give larger and supposedly nicer fruit. In reality the amount of nutrients a tree can push through into the fruit has remained mostly the same and the fruits are bigger but on average have the same amount vitamins and other nutrients that aren't sugar or fibrous tissue. The density of nutrients has dropped. This means the ratio of nutrition to simply sugar has dropped.

The brain and body work together with the gut bacteria to no just feed yourself but also send stimuli over what and how much you eat. Everyone talks about muh glucose slop but noone mentions the overall decline in quality of food and ever higher proportions of sugar to any actual nutrition that is badly needed by the lardasses you see waddling around. The subconscious brain will direct you to eat what you need. It's not a perfect system and there is one situation where it goes haywire - everything around is so spiked with sugar that eating more to get other macro and micro nutrients you need, causes you to eat way too much sugar and then have a host of problems starting with simply getting way too fat.
