Wow, first time i read a genuine take on Serbia from a foreigner, im impressed. Very well put. Although wdym a lower animal compared to modern state projects? Im guessing its about failing to catch up and then the entire state building devolves into trend chasing which then ultimately erases the starting identity idea altogether, because simply it couldnt keep up.
