I don't live anywhere special. 12 minutes from the more developed parts of town. No recent murders or calamities in, or near my home, however; I experience sleep paralysis more often than I'd like. Whatever, probably nothing, but some instances are accompanied by anomalies.
I was once sick during the lockdowns with a fever. Trying to stay asleep around 3am, of course, I heard the voice of a young woman in my livingroom say "Hello?" I didn't get up. Just ignored it and went back to sleep.
Other times, I get the impression that my girlfriend enters the room while I'm sleeping and crawls over me on the bed. I'll get the sensation of hand and feet weighing the mattress down. Later, I realize nothing corporeal is present, yet I feel something is trying to caress me, or is trying to grasp for my collar or neck. I try to force myself awake, or tell it to fuck off, but usually only end up murmuring quietly in my sleep; or end up dreaming that I successfully awake.
On rare occassions, I am more awake than usual for sleep paralysis and can hear clicking, or bumps coming from an adjacent room. I'll get the sensation that all ghost hunters talk about: hair standing up on my body and the willies. A strange fear, like a child hiding from the boogieman. No-one is in the room with me, yet what is present is beyond my normal comprehension and it scares me, or fills me with dread. Almost like waiti
