Forgiveness breeds future sinners who inherit the world. This is the central flaw in any ideology which permits it, especially towards those who are not high IQ or high empathy to begin with.

After a few short generations of forgiving, your enemies take over completely as they breed, win, and flourish while you do not.

Let's take the example of your father and the greedy executor. If we were to apply a Roman law standard [similar to ones that should be used on anyone who engages in ((( financial crime, thievery, usury, and loans with interest )))], it'd be straightforward that their hands would be cut off and this would be testament against repeating such actions forever. Crushing the testicles of rapists is another example.

From another angle, if we were to apply true biblical law, your father, the executor, and anyone they loved would be killed without mercy to end the bloodline forever. This was done to great effect, including killing all the women and children so as to avoid allowing that seed to continue.

Forgiveness is best used when only applied to those who are high IQ, high empathy, and ethnic European or Far East Asian. These are the only races capable of building civilization, and even then, it should only be applied to individuals with a history of forgiveness leading to a net reward to society rather than allowing more evil to reproduce and take root.

Another example

When i was in highschool many years ago. i got into a fight with another brother.
He made fun of my appearance and i struck him several times and he had to go see multiple specialists.

I thought i had forgave him, however i failed to see things from his perspective. He wasn't very popular among the other kids either. He was bored and wanted to look cool or be funny and i was a quiet boy who was always stuck in a book. So he said hurtful things to me. I should have forgiven him and not struck him for i committed the sins of wrath,vanity and pride. I was ashamed of my appearance and my pride was hurt in front of a group of friends/acquaintances. and he should not have been a reviler(basically a person who insults others), apologized when he realized my feelings were hurt  and that would have been that

i will still contemplate on the matter until i fully understand why he did what he did and why i did what i did. 
Once i fully understand and empathize with why he did what he did and i no longer feel any sort of negative emotion i will be much closer to full repentance.

Empathy and perspective(empathy's mean cousin) are what allows someone to forgive another person truly.

No, there is no "false flag" about forgiveness and repentance. These things are universally good for all righteous people. Multiple religions have forgiveness and repentance as a core concept.

Doing this has very easily revealed the bad actors ITT and in the others. You definitely have a troll, or 2 in here.
Either way, the thread is a worthy discussion for /r/, as the tenets of Christianity have a lot of arguable "traps" in different interpretations of forgiveness.
*Who is it for?
*Does it nullify Justice?
*Are we truly all brothers in Christ, or is that race dependent?

Lots of good points to ponder here, as well as the impact of holding onto resentments, hate and anger.
