The Wandering Jew
by Edward Arlington Robinson

I saw by looking in his eyes
That they remembered everything;
And this was how I came to know
That he was here, still wandering.
For though the figure and the scene

With evidence at every turn,
I should have held it safe to guess
That all the newness of New York

To His Coy Mistress
By Andrew Marvell

Had we but world enough and time,
This coyness, lady, were no crime.

Thou by the Indian Ganges’ side
Shouldst rubies find; I by the tide
Of Humber would complain. I would
Love you ten years before the flood,
And you should, if you please, refuse
Till the conversion of the Jews.
My vegetable love should grow
Vaster than empires and more slow;

The carnal desires of the Camel
Are stranger than anyone thinks
At the height of the mating season
He tries to bugger the Sphinx
But the Sphinx, by the wisdom of Allah,
Plugs her arse with the sands of the Nile
Which accounts for the hump on the Camel
And the Sphinx's inscrutable smile.

In the process of Syphilisation
From Anthropoid Ape down to Man
It's commonly held that the Navy
Has buggered whatever it can
But recent extensive researches

the only time i go to my local library is when they have a book sale and even those have started sucking as of late.

the library where i live is basically for parents of small kids and foreigners who want books in their native language. i can't even remember the last time i took out a book from the library.

Sorry again fren.
I haven't read anything good in a while- I like novels, but so many are just like McDonalds- I finally tried reading Steven King's "Dark Tower" series and I was so fucking frustrated with it- like "this" is what everyone said was so good? It was awful.
I like Sci-Fi and history, as well as detective novels.

Steven King- I don't think I've ever read a book where I just thought "what a fucking pervert" before

He's the ur-glowriter.

Chesterton again. They're short stories--usually but not always murders--that examine morality, religion and so on. Kinda like Sherlock.
