The purpose of this thread is to honor the immortal Gods of Olympus.

>Are you able to spiritually connect with such gods and what powers do they give you?
Yes. Insight, secrets, luck, beauty, charm, peace, and intuition are some of the many gifts a God can bestow upon a mortal. But even if they were to never bestow a gift, simply knowing their role in relation to ours is worthy of respect.

>Can a non - greek follow in suit?
I am only genetically half-hellene, so I do not know. There is some question to the relationship between genetic "closeness" to the Gods and how you can interact with them, but it is only my guesses and theories. Historically, admission to specific cults and mysteries was sometimes gated by heredity, ie., you must be descended from said God or officially admitted to the Clan in order to participate in select ceremonies, enter select temples/sanctuaries, be initiated into certain mysteries.

Apollo, please make me at least 6'5" tall, a centimillionaire in U.S. dollars, have a very deep and masculine voice, 20/20 vision, a symmetrical and physically attractive face, and an anonymous internet presence in which my online posts are not tied to me in real life. I wish for all of this to happen within this year, in this universe, while I am awake, and not just in a dream, in this timeline and worldline. Thank you, Apollo.

imagine if alexander the great went west instead of east:

** no rome (and no roman empire)
** original greek gods without any roman corruption influence
** christianity never occurs due to rome's linking the gods with government

i read somewhere that there are hellenistic organizations throughout greece trying to revive the grrek gods as a legit religion.

https://greekreporter.com/2025/03/10/first-ancient-greek-temple-after-1700-years-opens-arcadia/
> After 1,700 years the first ancient Greek temple opened in Arcadia, Peloponnese over the weekend. Hundreds of people attended the inauguration ceremony of the temple which was built for liturgical purposes and not as a museum.

Nice to see. Apparently the greek orthodox church were trying to shut it down. Thankfully, that isn't the case.

Valid, but I imagine prime real estate in a country as small as Greece is very scarce.

Wouldn't that mean Celtic, Gaulic, Frankish, and Germanic influence instead? And connecting the gods to the government was used for taxation reasons. The real problem was a pervasive cult from the middle east that liked to convert fearful and marginalized people. Having large populations of of non-people (slaves, women) helped the cult to spread. Rome needed to treat it's people better so the cult would not have the allure.

> Unrealistic expectations
Also you'd need a lot of different gods for that one. Just Apollo isn't going to work.

Aparently the Greek ortho church has control over the major temples and will not permit these groups to practice at the actual temples I saw a video about it if I find it I will post it,
Aphrodite rule 34 anyone?
