He does offer a very good framework on how to advance oneself, especially for a westerner. “No tree, it is said, can grow to heaven unless its roots reach down to hell.” Instead of fighting the devils, perhaps one should befriend them, they may have a good point. Keeping them chained in the basement is just gonna make a big mess of things.
