It was like that because 3-4 months ago there really wasn't enough traffic to justify making the board look MOAR DED. I had been rattling around in /ck/, which was a hidden board at the time, all by my lonesome for a few months, but this was always in the plan.

I'd also ask if the Bump limit isn't "Variable", to maybe include both that and how to SahGAYY in the faq board.

I just don't know what the bump limit is, 300? If it's stickied, of course it can go on forever, just deleting posts past 1000..
I've just asked a couple times and thought maybe it was being sort of hidden so Dooogie didn't have incentive to slide shit off the boards into oblivion.
Seems he fucked off for a bit finally though.

TL;DR: Is it 300? And can it be put in the faqs?

Also with the new boards, I still have the copypasta for banners.
Too early? I noticed /v/ and /a/ don't have any--I really think anons are incentivised to make their own for the boards, as it feels like they have a lasting contribution.

I posted another thread about it but I still think /fit/ and /ck/ should be rolled into a board called /sig/ for all things self-improvement, which is generally what /fit/ness is about anyway but broadening it to self-improvement just means they can post more freely about things other than lifting heavy objects.

Hobby cooking that's purely for taste rather than nutrition could go in /diy/ or /gen/, where it'll benefit from cross-traffic from other hobbyists. 

I just remember 4kill /ck/ being a pretty slow and forgotten board with weak topics. 

/pop/ does seem to cover /tv/ but that may be a case where the /tv/ crowd is so rambunctious it's preferable to let them have their own board - they'd just turn /pop/ into /tv/. 

I do wonder about /out/, another board that was slow, forgotten and weak on 4kill. I'm not sure it's enough of a topic to not be part of /gen/. Most /out/ hobbies are similar non-consumptive non-screen touch-grass hobbies as what you have on /gen/. 

I don't know though I've been here like a week.

LOL NO, near the end, it was (/ck/) practically the ONLY board that I visited, and it chugged along at a pretty decent pace.
I did a lot of my recruiting there,as there has always been a crossover from4/pol/ to 4/ck/, much to the jannies' chagrin.
/gen/ is the board that should die over time, and /diy/ IMO should be mostly about building and repair of things NOT aut/o/
But there's no reason a /fit/ thread for food can't be, and shit like meal prep(for the week kind of Autism) could go in either I guess.

I would encourage you to consider making a banner/banners for your favorite boards. 
This is indeed a YOUNG Chan, with experienced sensibilities from a lotta Oldfags, but it's not at all gonna be the experience you had for the last 10 years at 4Troons.

We wont be so anal regarding cross category threads. If people were to discuss nutrition and have it turn into a high protein diet based recipe thread, or something similar, we wont be censorious and delete that. 4cuckold mods were always terrible at understanding nuance or being understanding in general.
I'll keep your words in mind however. We're running a clean slate and dont need to do the same thing as 4skin.

My thought with it is just that the root interest in both /fit/ and /ck/ (in regards to diet) is really /self improvement/. And there's a lot of interest in self improvement in the type of userbase this website will have. Having that broad subject might lead to something interesting beyond /fit/ as it was while still including /fit/ in its totality.

1) Take your favorite draw program, Paint, GIMP, PhotoShoop, Krita, WHATEVER and set up a canvas of 300pixels wide X 100pixels high.
2) Create either an OURCHAN general banner or a Board specific banner using OC, old cut up maymays you have lying around, Pirated car parts Downloaded from the intarrweebs, Whathaveyou.
3) Add an OURCHAN.ORG somewhere in the banner
4)Poast'Em here! 

PREFERRED FILENAMES ARE .jpg, .png. and .gif
Some examples below:
*REMEMBER FRENS, This is OURCHAN, We make it what it becomes.
Banners will be sent and then uploaded upon acceptance.(It's a breddy Low bar, we LOVE you guys)
Bonus points for multi-layered keks,

Nope.
I like to pull fonts from 1001 free fonts and the other one.
The more ornate ones don't scale as well, but it's whatever you like.
If it's for a certain board, just include the designator.
I did the one for HELL and one for /g/ too, even though I rarely visit either one.
As long as it's in good taste, it'll fly.
...That reminds me...
I need to check in with /g/ on my question.
