What if I told you that boards that could attract unwanted attention could Just NOT be on the over board
What if I told you there is a little experiment I'd been running since becoming a lurker,(mostly, I've been posting more and more over the last week.)
I Hope letting you guys in on my "Proof of Concept" secret board doesn't backfire, but...
What if I told you there is a secret Bread Bread on /ck/ HERE?
I made it over a month ago in anticipation of the eventual poster increase and subsequent creation of new boards, but after the PYD,(PissYellerDoge,) sperg-out, I just sat back and watched the insanity roll out.
Point is, some of the more "Sensitive" boards could have this minimalist "Gatekeeping", which truly ONLY requires you to go to the URL bar, and type in the board, I.E: /ck/ after ourchan.org
As to a /fit board, YES! This should not even be a "sensitive" topic, so addition of it to the overboard seems like a natural fit,(pun yes)
I also agree with the anon who posited a /g/ related thread dedicated to a mix of anons both seasoned and neophyte addressing and explaining at least BASIC BITCH web hygiene.
*How NOT to drag and connect TRACKERS back to this site,(cleaning URLs, Spoilering linx, posting CLEAN copies of files without .Exif, XMP, IPTC, etc.
*What you should be running as add-ons for your browser and WHY.
*How to use script programs like violent monkey
*How to run a checksum on hashes for downloaded programs, files, PDFs, etc.
*latest security warnings for known exploits, security breaches like with Telegram,(Tell-a-Fed), and other helpful shit for ANY anon using these boards.
Yes, /g/ already exists; But I'd Bropose at least a thread that is stickied and referenced often for "NewFags"-- It could become a part of board culture; Hey NEWFAG!! Git>>>/GUD/1337!!, (or some shidd, but 1337 is still over 1k posts away in /g/)
Anyhoo...
/fit/ YES Pls!, a home for /SIG/ would be a DRAW.
I may just throw together a linkable thread in /g/ for the other, *(I am pretty busy with other stuff ATM tho-,) and in NO WAY do I consider myself any kind of authority on WebSEC, but the intent is to have a consolidated, referable, stickied thread for ANY good input on the subject.
I'd ask the Mods to consider again; "Hidden" boards for "Sensitive" topics.
