Does anyone here enjoy abandoned buildings? I haven't visited one in over a year, but each time I entered one, I gained a mellow sense of serenity and peace. Part from the cold temperature due to all the concrete - part from the near pure silence, the only noise you hear would be wind blowing through bust windows.

I become physical calmjak.

My entire life, I've always tried to go into every abandoned building I see. For me, It's like I'm free in there. I can smash a beer bottle against the wall, piss on the floor, go into any room, break the door down if I want. I can take anything I want home with me. Not to mention even empty buildings have cool things to see in them, to climb on. Maybe you just have to be born with a taste for it. My dream: to be the last person on earth, and I spend my life just going into abandoned buildings. I'd never get tired of it.

i don't get anything particular from doing things like breaking stuff, in fact i try to leave absolutely no trace of my passage
however i do enjoy imagining what the place used to be, the people who lived there, their conversations
it feels more real than a movie

We should create a custom openstreetmap with the locations and images here.

theres a good reason why noone does this. Dont want them to have any potential attention from piggies / any form of authority. I just want to sit in my dead building.

ex-communist/soviet countries have a butt load of abandoned spots. Its harder in western europe, but usually spots exist in "likely areas" for example next to/under train tracks/highways. Forgotten industrial zones, or places that were considered too hard to reach (pain in the ass to find but pic 3 is one I found, by complete chance)

the tunnel on the right remains unexplored had to go through a drain network that was my stopping point. I came back to explore further but the drain entrance seemed blocked with debrie and mud. There might be other access points but they are ore tricky. The tunnel seemed to go on forever I accessed it by exploring storm drain tubbing. If I can guess it runs up and under a road that goes up a hill. It was a feeling I stumbled on something big but it was also where I put a pin on my exploration for another day. Unfortunately my access point to get back seems blocked.

indeed, eastern europe is filled up the ass with abandoned and neglected buildings.
i'm not one to trespass though since sometimes i have no idea who owns it.

If you do get a decent filter mask some of these old places have asbestos or worse shit you don't want to be breathing in.

yea I once sat on this couch that was semi outside for maybe a decade and some of the dust it puff out went in my eye making feel a bit swollen. IDK.
> you just sat on a spider infested mouldy couch???
I have special waterproof trousers + jacket so my clothes underneath dont get mud and shit on them.
