I feel so hopeless over college. I mean, I guess I did pretty alright in most of my classes, and got through most of my gen ed before AI was even viable. But I've had to rely way too much on AI for economics and math. I'm considering dropping out. On the one hand, I keep telling myself it doesn't matter in the long run, everybody is using AI, but I can't escape the feeling that that's just cope. I tell myself no one was doing math this hard in math 102 before AI, but that feels like cope. I tell myself there's no difference in plugging it into an AI chatbot than plugging the equations into a calculator, but that feels like cope. I keep wondering what the point of having the degree is if AI got it cor me. But I'm two classes away from an associate's in gen ed, and if I drop out I have to pay back the school and the VA. Still, every time I see that degree I know I'm gonna feel ashamed of myself. Why is the American education system so fucked?
