There seems to be considerable dismay and hand wringing in the conservative populist camp over the fact that their younger male audience, predominantly, identifies with the edgy pol 4chan culture.
They keep trying to label it as Nick Funtes. Nick said this, Nick said that, Nick made them racist and nazis or whatever. If we get rid of Nickkk there will be no nazis and everybody on the right will be a good populist neocon or whatever for Israel and the problem will be settled.
Thing about it is, this guy did not invent the concepts he is spreading. He didn't invent the social forces pushing people towards nationalism or the userbases. The Aut right was already hot shit before he even came around. At best, funtes was a particularly articulate advocate who gained fame for simply being able to argue publicly things people in that sphere already believe anyways.
I mean, Race realism, white idpol, the constant skepticism about zios pretty or not, the longing for the structural glories of nationalism best exemplified in the third reich to many younger people. That was already big. People might have learned the arguments on pol but they already were gravitating in that direction. You could have gotten rid of the neetsoc people effectively and still the fashwave era probably would have hit anyways.
