I used to play world of tanks blitz endlessly. Put maybe 5k hours into it as a kid until the age of 19. Around 5 years ago it started to get bad with the typical MMO business model that all these games follow, now you can't even login to the game without having to close 15 ads for shit you can buy in the game. Oh, and they added fucking fantasy tanks. Imagine that. You're riding your Sherman and then you see a motherfucking vindicator ultramarines from warhammer 40k. Youre toast.

GHPC is way better, though you’re limited to Cold War era vehicles and no mp.

Don’t forget the Valkyria Chronicles tanks. Doesn’t help that there’s a number of vehicles that are just made up.

Grindy, yes and no. Yes, because well it is. No, because it's not worth it. I have everything researched but I don't play at top tiers because they suck dick. 7.7-9.7 is the most fun.
Garbage maps, very much so. All the maps are garbage made for low tier arcade. Well most of the maps. Because this probably could be easily solved by allowing me to ban all the maps I hate, which would be most of them, but then I would play on the handful I enjoy.
GHPC is a different beast, if only because it doesn't have multiplayer. But I do play it also. The sound design is amazing.

ArmA (formerly Operation Flashpoint) always had pretty cool tanks too. But I haven't played it in ages, not gonna touch Reforger, but for ArmA 4 I'll for sure be back at it once again.

I know it's not a "real" tank game, but I have fond childhood memories of this game. I loved the challenge and versatility that it had with it as well as it's cartoonish charm.
My second favorite would be BattleZone 2 because it was an FPS/RTS and looked cool as fuck.

Its a shame. I wish both WoT and WoTB could have had their states frozen 10 years ago. Modern mainstream vidya is filled with so much bloat and crap it almost makes it feel like windows.

I love warthunder but it hate gaijin and refuse to give them money but it means getting tanks is a slog. How come warthunder autists can leak classified documents but can't make a warthunder arma mod with all the tanks for free?

I wish Armored Warfare had been more successful instead of  being mishandled by my.com, could’ve forced WoT to actually improve.
