>>195 Here. You asked about the current state of our anti-raid stuff. My overarching strategy is to be peaceful and do what’s best for the community. We were hit by niggerdick spammers and developed an anti-porn AI. This was incredible, we branched out into automatically detecting spammers and slowing them down and had good success there. The next phase for us, is to reactively respond in more complex ways without destroying content or affecting regular users. I was miffed at myself for letting that happen. In the future content will be MOVED instead of deleted to an unmarked trash board. We’ll be restoring authentic posts going forward and I’ll be working in a redundantly checked sandbox (pic related)Regarding reactivity, I was testing a new script that automatically enables short spam filters (2s, 8s, 40s, 5 minutes, etc) for content that isn’t unique. R9K uses it, it’s an open source algorithm made by a famous mathematician. When combined with other metrics like ban evasion detection/other disturbance in the signal to noise ratio it has its place. However, it was improperly configured, and accidentally deleted posts. I quickly stopped it, but this is my mistake and I am 100% accountable.
I will be testing in the future in a more secure way. I will make an announcement shortly.
