Israel got sick of a bunch of ungrateful basement dwellers calling their glorious war "bad." Mossad is to busy figuring out just how gay this new Ayatollah might be to argue with all the disinfo spreading like wildfire. It was easier just to pull the plug. I'm going to assume you're referencing cache invalidation.
Say one has a few threads open in tabs when this happened; when switching back to them, cache invalidation forces a reload (to the 403 or now maintenance message) and doesn't allow one to press back to see the previously loaded page ... because the cache (cached copy of the page) was invalidated.
Meaning, thread-b-gone.

Your opinion is just failure to understand humanity. Whether people act like cattle or not depends on the society and culture they're raised on. Jews are as cattle-like as modern people.
Strong people, discriminating people are the only ones that can enforce morals and customs that force people to elevate themselves past savagery.

It's easy to be confused by technology. Even a chimp can play with a phone. Even a woman can do aminoacid extractions in a lab. Doesn't mean they're civilized. Civilization is self-control, it's virtue. It's moral rigor. If those aren't enforced by men who believe in them you get horrid cattle-like people around you, and a misplaced feeling of superiority. If you're surrounded by people like that it will take very little to feel you are better. But you're a fish in water. If you were superior you would become the proverbial fisherman of people and turn them on the right path for civilization, future, and actual progress, towards beauty and nobility.
Read Sir Gawain and the Green Knight for a small example of what our ancestors aspired to.

Perfect example of your cattle-like behavior aside, Sir Gawain simply said no to all forms of carnal and social temptation. And for what? His own impending death, simply because that death was to honor his word, thus preserving the moral rigor of the whole Arthurian court through his actions.
It's the opposite of individualism: the actions of one man carrying the morals of everyone. It's the meaning of heroism.
"If one man does the right thing even when it's impossibly hard and unfair, how can we all not do so when it's much easier?"

In fact Sir Gawain fails partly, and he forever carries that failure as proof of his humanity and imperfection, yet it becomes the badge of all his success too. A man 90% perfect is still a shining paragon to all humanity, who can now not only strive to emulate him, but also emphasize with him, learn from him and perhaps one day exceed him.

Gas lockdowns are a plausible scenario I guess. Although I would think that would be just an added bonus next to the bigger plan, which is keeping the US in the war until the Iranian regime collapses. I am getting the vibe that at least some in the administration are keen on declaring victory and pulling out. Trump in particular seems stressed out by how this has developed and would rather be invading Cuba.

Israel has already twice attacked critical oil and gas infrastructure in Iran and told by Trump to chill the fuck out and not do it again. So they are clearly trying to escalate this thing. But I don't think Iran alone can cause the shortages that would lead to lockdowns. Perhaps Israel will try to false flag bomb some of the GCC countries' oil infrastructure and blame it on Iran. If Iran can be positioned as the culprits behind a global economic catastrophe, with pajeets starving by the millions, then the US would have a mandate to stay the course.

Iran's oil fields are also close to the Iraqi border so we could see a limited ground invasion targetting those. A ground invasion aimed at Tehran wouldn't be possible without the regime on the verge of collapse so I don't see that being in the cards. The only way to get Iran to fold would be via a protracted blockade which lines up with this gas lockdowns theory. If Iran is getting blockaded they have no incentive not to attack shipping in the strait or try to inflict maximum damage on GCC US proxies. So it doesn't have to be some crazy false flag scenario that leads to global oil shortages.

If you're going to go to the effort of shutting down halfchan to prevent an information leak, you'd immediately go to it's secondary refuges (like here) to try to plug the spread.
If they can't shut the site down, then the next big thing is to create a smoke-screen/distraction.
>>57292
Possibly the attack on the gas fields and retaliation against the refinery, but then they realized it was futile to try to cover it up.
Iran's greatest weapon right now is economic (energy prices) and the information-fog is an attempt to dampen that weapon so it does not induce panic.

The problem with this is that almost all news comes through twitter. I try to keep quality high on my place by manually checking links, but it's impossible to truly verify twitter stuff because of the amount of clickbaiting pajeets and OSINT propaganda accounts editorializing stories, publishing fake leaks and recirculating old footage. I'm not a mod, a janny, or the owner, but I've been here since the inception. The solution here at OC was to move low-effort stuff to /b/, /bant/, /trash/, or /hell/ in that order depending on the severity of how low-effort it was (X or Reddit screen-caps, recycled bait thread names or openers, unoriginal content, low IQ trolling, and deliberate sabotage or consensus-cracking attempts) rather than delete it entirely to sidestep accusations of censorship.

Spam, shaming, lies are the system's admission to defeat: It can't convince, it can't reason, it can't win hearts and minds, it doesn't care to try.
The audacity of using tax payer money to subject their own people to this is out of this world, and then they tell everyone this is a Democracy and elected officials exist to represent the people and serve them. What a lie. What a scam.
This is all only possible because our enemies own and control the information grid, so they can do with it what they want. A real internet can only exist if some method is found to keep bots and shills outside, so that authentic communication can happen. The current internet has failed due to user data gathering, favorable treatment for hostile actors and algorithms.
Examples of the failures:
-Google bought up Firefox to ruin it, so they could win the browser wars against the only competition they had
-for years methods to try to get user data and create user profiles, even against their will, has been an accepted business practice instead of a violation of their right to privacy and control of their own data; things like a 1x1 "tracking pixel", super cookie, user tracking, Google making cookie management much worse after they won the browser wars
-Microsoft trying to force TPM2, which is an ID on your hardware that allows you to always be identified, without which applications can deny you their functions, either completely or partially (see: Battlefield 6 + TPM2)
-Google replacing manifest V2 with manifest V3 to limit how well ad- and script-blockers can function
-many website running algorithms to either scam their users (show them higher prices or not what they asked for) or keep them in engagement bubbles instead of objective, informative content (leading to a world full of divided people)
-search engines being shit up with garbage and unable to provide relevant context but also poor in features to create context and refine searches; still full of unwanted anti user features at all time though - that's what the development time goes into: enshittification
I just don't have a clue how to keep users secure by anonymizing them and limiting their personal data to the necessary minimum while also being able to identify and shoot down bots and shills effectively and at least for some relevant amount of time (no one should be banned permanently, as this allows hostile takeovers due to security flaws to get rid of undesirables permanently, which private and government-sponsored hacking groups are most well suited to do).
The world is a dark place and I hate it that the supposedly intelligent beings have nothing better in mind than to be assholes all day. Today we're in this laughable state where the West has violated and broken everything but they want everyone to pay taxes, be a good citizens and do their part - while nothing works and makes sense and they want to replace the people with foreigners. The freedom that people get is that their votes are irrelevant because the uni-party sends money to israel and wages wars for israel and that everyone is allowed to have the accepted views and opinions but no other because it's not allowed that citizens are law-breaking assholes, like israel or the usa. Only governments and companies are allowed to act as assholes. Shame on everyone else for wrong think, even if it's just the result of correctly perceiving objective reality.

Not stealth advertising here, but homurachan's BO apparently figured out how to reliably hash user info and automatically wipe it periodically. He's constantly doing further things like even deleting IPs from reports / not allowing mods or jannies to do IP look-ups. He did openly he say that they use JS, which is a downside, but evidently there's some way to work around it with enough knowledge. Might be a lead.

For the rest of it, the recent news that israel's chemical processing plants being blown up vastly reduced lithium suppoes being exported for use in the water has restored some hope. That's to me a sign that the world is healing even as the infrastructure crumbles. Imagine that—the US government pays Israel to import poison and dump it into the wells. The accelerationists were and are absolutely correct. All of this censorship, enshittification, surveillance state architecture, weaponized miseducation, open borders, biological warfare, usurious financial slavery infrastructure, pornography hubs, and more disappears when they disappear.

Don’t get high off the “destruction of Israel”, the people who play these games at scale, snatch victory for the jaws of “defeat” all the time, they absorb momentum and like a kung fu master and spin it back around into a greater force. They let you into their defenses only for you find yourself in a compromised position and ultimately flat on your ass. This isn’t blackpilling, this the praxis of how you can control movements and society if you are willing to always go just a little bit deeper than what’s seems true on the face, and everyone should always strive for that understanding. Be willing to forget previous positions and adopt new ones, stay fluid, never harden. That’s what they do. My continued hatred of jews and Israel has blinded me to the substructures that exist underneath this narrative. Entertaining those ideas but being willing to discard them is key. This is why even someone from your position is necessary in the dialogue as I wouldn’t have that sounding board to bounce my ideas off of. Judea Delenda Est.

>Homu's BO
remember when 4chan had a hack last year, and it said someone from sharty did it, or at the very least the said glownigger hacker who did the hack wanted people to go to sharty? And what awaited the anon refugees of 4chan going to sharty was a dataminer (there's even a kiwifarms thread about this).

A glownigger group like sharty is "welcome" on Homu, they don't take issue with these Thiel adjactent glowniggers, with whom spur.us is likely sharing 4chan fingerprinted anons (since spur.us fingerprints every anon/references to their own database). Ooh so maybe not everyone went to sharty during that time, so not everyone got fingerprinted by sharty's dataminer, so eventually they had to do it to their own site as well, the kike intelligence needs to know who are the anti-israel dissidents. Interestingly all of this is happening during the time of all social media moving to Digital IDs (for same reason really), and when war with Iran is happening.

>What bad is it if someone knows your IP anon?
That interoperability between 4chan and Sharty is actually a brilliant take.

I was about to go on a long-winded legal explanation of issuing infinity subpoenas through ISP's as being a retarded process. BUT, with that take you could skip those steps. I'm sure there are many more neat breadcrumb tricks but that could have been a magnum opus. I'm picking up what your putting down.

Lol. Lmao. Rofl, even. No, killing them (or seeing to it that the brown hordes kill them when we cannot at the moment) works best.
 >>58166
Sharty or Sharty's influence? Their memes are established now, back when Sharty was evidently good in their early years (other oldfags, not my word). I agree with your level of caution, but the simple fact remains that a lot of their (Homu) coding work feels modernized / the BO goes to an awful lot of effort to fake improvised on-the-fly changes towards privacy assuming it's all fake.
>>58148
Woah you're talking about me.
>homurachan's BO apparently figured out how to reliably hash user info and automatically wipe it periodically. He's constantly doing further things like even deleting IPs from reports / not allowing mods or jannies to do IP look-ups
Yeah it's pretty simple. First, on application boot I generate a 32 byte salt from the server crypto pool, then when a client connects their IP is combined with the salt and the result is hashed with SHA3-256. The raw IP technically remains in memory since it's used as a key in a map of structs containing IP data such as the hash, but the raw IP is not accessible without dumping the server's RAM and manually looking for it there. Only the hashed IP is written to the database for things like posts. Since the salt is generated on runtime and kept only in memory, shutting down meguca makes it impossible to reverse the IP hashes attached to posts and such.

There are also some native meguca features I extended. For example, IPs and hashes are never visible on posts to any staff member including the admin, unlike any other imageboard engine afaik. But in upstream meguca, IP hashes (created differently and in a weaker way than how I did) are visible in the bans page and mod log for sufficiently ranked staff. I removed that entirely. Then there is regular removal of post IP and some other metadata from posts in the DB. That's done every 7 days by default on upstream meguca, it's every 24 hours on my fork. Finally yeah I made view by IP admin only. I considered removing it but I can do the same thing in the database with psql anyway with less transparency to users, so keeping it makes the more transparent option the easier way.
>deleting IPs from reports
I don't do that, the hashed IPs stay on reports until the report itself is deleted. Reports have a 7 day lifetime.

There isn't. There are no longer any POST APIs on the server for replies, it's websocket only.

lol. My position on the sharty is the same as my position on ourchan and other imageboards. I don't want to make enemies and deal with blowback from retarded drama that will hurt our own community. I enjoy some of the memes, but I've never used the sharty or any of the splinters. It's not my kind of thing.

I'm not trying to trap you, but to instead figure out where the misunderstanding and error came from on my end. I thought you posted it elswhere on here a few weeks ago as a heads-up that JS is used (which I even further seem to remember you wanted to do away with).

>I thought you posted it elsewhere on here a few weeks ago as a heads-up that JS is used
Yes the W3C is shit so you need javascript to open a websocket connection and handle messages on the socket. I probably said that you require JS to post now, which is true. Technically if you go to shamiko or other meguca instances, you can post without JS but it was never well supported. # commands and post backlinks don't work on noscript posts for example.
>(which I even further seem to remember you wanted to do away with).
I'm always trying to reduce the amount of JS code and substitute it with modern HTML/CSS where possible because I despise JS, but removing noscript posting let me drop code on the backend, improve the thread creation form and make sure that captchouli is always natively themed since I no longer needed to serve it via iframe. The latter means that the rune theme is universally applied for gatekeeping. Also dropping noscript support is an old meguca todo for cultural and tech reasons.

Site and we're not friends or enemies with anyone else. I don't think about the soysphere and they don't think about us. That's how I like it and how I want things to stay. I suggest you take your crusade to someone else. If you really want a board that actively hates the sharty and bans for posting 'jaks, then go to endchan /pol/.

Sharty and other glowniggers are the reason why every imageboard are shit nowdays, and why people have had to leave from 4chan in the first place. You being friends with them just confirms that you too are a glowie. This is so fucking transparent at this point that anyone with a brain can see it clear as day. What you're doing is worse than whatever the fuck hotwheels ever did. This isn't your imageboard so it's ok for anons to shit on obvious glowie honeypots
