Most people will use the excuse that they're just following orders or trying to fit into the system. The reality of that is that they're acting like a LLM chatbot that's just making shit up as things keep happening to deflect from personal accountability with the goal of having the ones questioning the actions and motives buy into the fake nonsense output. Most people have no clue what's going on but believe their superiors do instead of them being careless, irresponsible assholes that are seeking personal benefit by causing harm to others and supporting a broken system. Why is the system attacking its own people ? Because they're irrelevant to the people at the top that are wholly out of touch with what's a normal life and how it works, thus they don't care. What they care about is yes-man, so that they get things their way.
Part of the problem is that due to mathematical nonsense the financial system generated bloat in both directions: wealth and debt. There's so much "money" around that there'd be hyperinflation all around the planet for every product if the rich would throw their "money" onto real goods. Thus they have to restrain themselves, but that doesn't change how the financial sector works and generates growth. The excess of this could be witnessed with some of the most recent scams (NFTs, crypto, "AI" + their data centers). They're desperately trying to get rid of the piles of money while staying rich to keep the broken system going without fixing it. Everything has become a play in that regard: War, lives, real goods, made up goods, just so long as the things run as they want it for those at the top, which is the case. Human rights ? International laws ? War crimes ? Who cares. Just run propaganda over it and try to demoralize the people judging you according to your actions.
The main theme is assholes throwing money at other assholes to have them do their dirty work to get things their way. Doesn't matter whether it's shills on 4chan, algorithms exploiting people because there's a data gathering and selling market, Blackrock making entertainment according to ESG standards or whatever else. At the core of the problem are very few people that are so wealthy, rotten and out of touch that they think they can just do whatever they want and get away with it. That is what it's all about and why reality is the farce that it is. You may live to experience another 9/11 with a structure collapsing that took no damage and missing Pentagon money no one asks questions about, "pandemic" or whatever, so long as someone decides that's what they want to do and can get away with.
Strangely the people of the public trust the same institutions wholly under the control of the people causing the problems to do their part and live up to any positive expectations of justice and acting right instead of assuming what's more reasonable: that they uphold a broken system that works against the people. Factually everyone being part of the system is part of the problem. This has been proven with the medical sector, finances, education, governance, even infrastructure of all sorts. Digital currency + Capitalism is kind of a death wish for people that want to be free and sovereign. Aside from the money creation out of thin air anything with interest is mathematically capable of creating unlimited amount of debt and wealth (depending on who's side). Due to this mix or irresponsibility and indifference there's now this point at which absurd values in both wealth and debt have been reached, with all the extremes and excess. How do you nullify all value so that the thugs don't get paid ? How do you remove indifference ? How do you create transparency ? How do you enforce accountability ? Positions of responsibility simply need qualified people of good character that actually try to do a good job instead of just being qualified but doing nothing good with it. Currently the ones in charge are neither qualified nor of good character and the only good job they're trying to do is not tied to their intended function but according to what they want to do or achieve.
So, this wasn't the answer to your question but how it is in life. Have fun with that.
