>it's like a marriage proposal...
>it's like an elite society...
>...it's like selling your soul to the devil
It seems amazing that I'd have to speak to my fellow anons about this, but we in the west are clearly living in the beginning of a cold war amongst the powers across the world. Populism and Globalism in the balance, but also national interests. There's money to be made as an influencer, power and prestige. And with that clout becomes interest in using you like a pawn, like any other opinion maker in society might be. Which means they are vulnerable to this new form of attack...
Anons can never work for a government security organ of any kind without losing their soul
I read about it one time in Snowden's book, Permanent Record. The time Russian intelligence agencies at the airport tried speaking with him about working for them to gain asylum. He says perfectly clearly, that no person can ever knowingly speak with an intelligence officer without being in deathly peril of their reputation. Even to hear them out is extremely dangerous. It bespeaks to blackmail, to coercion, to threats, to all the evils that can be applied to someone who is so stupid as to work for a foreign agency or their own.
Just like a demon, these people can say whatever they want to make influencers feel like they are doing the right thing. They can use money, they can use sex, they can use bribes and ideological agreement and various other flowers to make individuals feel as though cooption was actually a voluntary choice. But unfortunately, once you're in and do anything for anyone, they'll own you for the rest of your life. You'll never have a free thought again, you'll never have a free moment where you're not someone else's play toy. That's what happens to influencers and opinion-makers who take the blue pill. They end up like cypher in the matrix, eating the imaginary steak they know isn't real and selling it to others that it is. During the cold war the ideological sympathizers of the soviets were called Useful idiots, because they were very stupid. They were willing to sacrifice their entire lives for a country they'd never visited, never seen firsthand, and happened to be merely trendy in fashionable books and intellectual circles. Those stupid sons of bitches were ruining their lives for no good, and what's worse not even for their own beliefs. They were simply suckers, that's what books call them. They sold their immortal soul for a small lump sum or for feeling good. An agent is a sucker, even an honest one, even a well intentioned one. They are simply tools to be disposed like a drill bit or a screw. Absolutely nothing is protected in such an arrangement, it is absolutely imperative that people avoid falling for these tricks.
Of course Satan owns the world in the bible, and the devil owns the real one we live in today and has tremendous powers. But nobody ever respects these people once they know what they do. And nobody wants them to run the world, or rig the electoral process or subvert the democratic system no matter how high minded the cause in mind. So it's ultimately kind of like losing. The ring in lord of the rings could make you invincible, but the longer you used it the shittier the world would get. That's the trade off society makes by using these kinds of agencies.
Anyways. The problem isn't that dissidents aren't smart enough to avoid recruitment by any agency at all costs, because you'll never have a free thought or careless action again. The problem is that dissidents invariably must walk the path of becoming hidden and hardened, just to live free and honest lives. That's a real issue, much like how the persecution of homosexuality eventually became the biggest national security crisis to ever threaten the west for a while. Thanks to Philby characters. The government should have just legalized personal liberties.
Regardless. I can see the approaches in our circles now, with youtube spamming adverts by the CIA with characters like butsamante on youtube talking about how KOOL it is. Not mentioning that if a naive person works for any of them, they'd just be a sock puppet. Because anons are opinion-makers, anons are upstream from information. They're the early phases of many social media trends and rollouts. And ultimately, like many deviant subcultures from phreakers to hippies they are prime targets for compromise.
To conclude friends, never work for the feds as a tool. It can never end well for you.
