And he's right. Israel is judging that they do not have a stable friend in the United States and probably is preparing to burn their bridge with the right by pushing their special interests advantage to the hilt. If you look at their diplomatic game historically, they have always behaved like something akin to calculating sociopaths. They've already turned their own country's political fissure upside down pursuing a spate of wars within the past few years. If there was ever a Serbia which would drag the world into a world war using the alliances system, it would be this country.
And the lobby in the states is what enables it. They all have dual loyalty, they all favor their host country. They expect special treatment as a supposedly oppressed or victimized class of people while committing the most brutal and thuggish wars which radicalize the same people they complain attack them. And somehow, we're supposed to be deeply sympathetic. Caught up on the leash of a nearly century old blood libel against Europeans because one country went too far with prevailing attitudes of the times. It's so stupid. Israel's conquest plan is simply another war too far gone: like vietnam, like Ukraine, which cannot be easily sold to the population at a massive scale which is required for once because any war would be a massive undertaking. These periphery states have some value and could be incorporated into the American system. There's even a valid argument about nuclear weapons with Iran.... but the price cannot be sold to the buyer, because they see a cost but not a return personally.
I think I am seeing the Trump diplomatic offensive as something more akin to a Hadrian. Somebody who is finally drawing the line on what is and what is not part of the American international system. Somebody had to do it, The Americans can hardly even support their would-be puppet state in Ukraine
