How many of y'all are keeping animals other than pets? My wife and I just had 50 chicks come in(we bred half bought half) And thats just the tip of the iceberg. Anyone else spending time on the oldest profession of humans, animal husbandry?
Don't chickens only have one hole? Like they shit and piss and lay eggs all out of one hole? Kinda gross.
>>76 (OP) yes crossing marans with comets to create a sex-link maran variety with higher egg output and better cold weather resilience. looking real hard at merging with bielefelders at some point for larger body weight. picrel is one of the maran/comet crossbred hens.
