I agree. The stable endgame can only be reversing Hart-Celler and recreating a restrictive system based around prioritizing European immigration. Trump is practically deserting his own supporters with these proposals.
Canada also started out with points based merit immigration. All it meant was infiltration by rival elites while the public eventually got suckered into accepting the great replacement. Perhaps there's a rationale, the "Asian super geniuses who will enrich countries other than America", but in that case surely the quotas could be much less?
