Is this doable?

I considered this for higher risk VPNs but I'm not sure if it would have a negative effect (E.g., if most people are using VPNs) or if VPN users would like it. It's also not that high on our priority list, but I'm not against it.

Something to consider when ourchan has more users. Just to help with glow id.

I have a feeling that if VPN posters were identifiable we discover that they are the absolute worst shitposters on /pol/
what would be funny is a flag specifically for government owned IPs like air force bases and such

Site owner here. This shouldn't be hard to do.

I have had trouble finding IP ranges for air force bases like Eglin so may need help there. An anon compiled a list a while ago but when I checked it over it didn't seem right. To me it looked like it included residential IPs.

We can do this if we can figure out the IP ranges.

Feel free to put on a ban on the IPs that ourtranny aka doge uses (and I unfortunately share) next time he acts up, even if it's a temporary measure during spike periods. I have alternate options now.

Out and about but yeah I can do it. Like space said, it's not hard. I remember that list but the data wasn't perfect. Personally I'd prefer to block gov owned IPs but I'm fine with "yellow badging" them, lmao

Funny, I had a flag designed for just this purpose. Would be hilarious if it was retroactively applied to any posters that belong in /hell/.

How about yellowbadging vpns and suspected/uncertain gov ips. If the person using the suspected gov ip is a glow fag, permaban it.

Personally I don't like this. VPNs are for privacy and we can easily see what VPN is and issue temp blocks. One of the things we get compliments on is VPNs being allowed. I really think flags should be Tor only since Tor is free, and hard to partially censor, so it makes sense.
