Making it mandatory fucks with shitposts. Maybe it should only be necessary for serious boards

Allow me to make the case for removing the subject line on /tv/. Many fun, interesting, and relevant discussions on random movies from all eras were begun simply by posting a quote and a screenshot of the scene in question in which a subject line would have been awkward. An enormous amount of board culture would've also been constrained by subject lines. Can you imagine baneposting with mandatory subject headers? I think the same would apply to other more casual boards.

Agreed and granted. /tv/ no longer requires a subject. Any other boards you guys think this should apply to?

/b/ perhaps. Could the general/random board be contracted a little?

Your thoughts on this?

Checked.

Too much granularity for not enough posters. /bant/ makes sense as /tardpol/ but /b/ and /hell/ should be merged and /s0s/ would integrate well.

Merging /hell/ and /b/ would ruin /b/ (and why would you want kikes and jeets on b, anyway?) /s0s/ is its own culture that doesn't benefit from the introduction of indians or israelis.

That said, I'll think it over.
