It’s the end of an era. 4chan in general informed a great deal of my humor and tastes in media, and I got some great book recommendations from /lit/ that I otherwise would NEVER have been able to find on the septic tank that is reddit.

That said, I’m almost glad that the site is down since it will probably cleanse the board of newfags for a few years. As a /sffg/ enjoyer, maybe this will mean less discussion about light novels and litrpg faggotry, and more about promising new novel projects that genuinely seem interesting.

Gotta get used to how this new site works though.

i just remember that the jannies there gave me some ungodly ban bc i dared to post a moonchild pic some years back. that was when i started getting into altchans (like this one).

kind of poetic since moonchild soon bimboed out and now 4chan has imploded. just goes to show that you should never tamper with success.

It's not dead. I sorely doubt it. It'll take a week to get the system back up and running.

I wouldn't count on much of anything else other than quality control to filter out newfags and spammers.

I doubt that 4chan is really dead. 4chan always sucked because a lot of boards didn't allow for audio on video files, and you could not upload PDFs, and jannies could be overbearing at times. I preferred 8chan back in its pre-2019 phase. This place seems comfy though, so I will see if it is any good.
