Anyone have stories about being a civilian in a military training event?

I remember hearing one a long as time ago, but I can barely remember it.

yes and yes
is it that obvious?

I thought mercenary groups only hired previously enlisted

Na, it depends on the job. Some will take law-enforcement officers, and for specialized type roles medical personnel. Your best bet however is to start out at Triple Canopy or something similar after doing a year stint in the infantry

Are there any PMC or contractors that DON'T directly or indirectly help jewish genocidal interests? You could make this argument three decades ago, but I don't see evidence of it anywhere.

i drink too much beer too join the army. was going to become a 35T or P, but the can kept me from it

Not legal ones. I guess you could join Wagner Group but uhhhhh you don't exactly get sent to nice places and I think the pay is like 6K a month.
>>183
Stop drinking and just do it. Best decision I ever made, plus during OSUT I had plenty of time to think about what I actually wanted to do with the rest of my life. Have since accomplished all of those goals. Just kind of making it up as I go now.

If i get a call this week I will have a job at a warehouse or Americorp. Will be sober enough to get a job, insurance, and a doctor visit. Then study again for the asvab and try for airforce intelligence. got a 99 when i took it 2 years ago.
I noticed I operate on kinda a wave if I don't have structure. Productive month to unproductive month. So on an so forth.

Pretty sure the ASVAB doesn't expire. What was your GT score?

Go for intelligence if you want but just know it's going to be a desk job.

125 maybe?

I hope so. That shit took forever! Not the test alone but the waiting too. It felt like the people in the building didn't give a shit what was going on so in my mind everyone could be wrong/or lying.
>a desk job.
I was told that you can do 35T rangers or something like that. be smart AND shoot guns. At least that is how I understood it.
If i can't do 35 series I would do pharmacy or IED or something.

145 GT score here. So, what's you fellas opinion on the great state of Israel, our greatest ally?

Yeah your ASVAB score doesn't really matter, it's your GT that does. The GT is basically an IQ test. If you got over a 120 I would recommend going aviation, or something that would actually provide value.
>I was told that you can do 35T
AFAIK that's not a real thing. Best you could hope for as a "smart" trigger puller would be 18 series, but that's a whole lot of physicality, and an entirely different mission set. Besides that, you'd have to learn another language. EOD is fine but they have an extremely high washout rate.

I highly doubt your GT score, but TND and TKD imho. I hate those niggerfaggots as much as the next guy, but the Army is a great way to get paid/get out of a pointless life rut while figuring out what the fuck you actually want to do. For example, I was an 11B, now I'm going into civilian aviation using the GI Bill at a Part 141 school. GI Bill won't cover tuition at Embry Riddle btw

is it just the fear of blowing up or something?
Replies: >>201

No, it's ridiculously book intensive. Like essentially an entire engineering degree in a couple of months from what I've been told. You have to nolife it the whole time.

>recommend going aviation
Flying seems awesome, but I am 31 and I don't think they would let me sign up. Even with their 10 year commitment plan.
I think if I try this path again I would go in for something boring like a pharmacy tech, IT specialist, or whatever the fuck a "Electromagnetic Warfare Specialist" is. Let myself find excitement outside my job.
I think I have given up on the idea of the 35 series because I don't think I will want to work for an alphabet agency once I am out.

32 is the cap and it can be waivered. You would just need to get on it, like today. Whatever works for you.

>Electromagnetic Warfare Specialist"
Those are the techs who install and maintain jamming equipment on vehicles, planes etc. it’s not as sexy as the title implies. You might see a microwave area denial(crowd control) weapon if you’re lucky.
