Yet another Webp thread to showcase how much better images on the internet would look like if we all at least adopted this old 2010 image codec. Also testing SSIM of uploaded and downloaded Webps here to see if the quality degradation problem still exists here. Webp related quality metric scores: SSIM = ~0.97 PSNR = 33.8 Db VMAF = 92.2
JPG related quality metric scores: SSIM = ~0.92 PSNR = ~33.8 VMAF = 82.7

Downloaded webp file has been changed and of lower quality. Welp guess we all have to wait a little longer for this to get fixed. SSIM score: 0.9942
>>894 (OP) My .webp files will noticeably dip in quality if saved, instead of clipped or imported before being exported under other file types. This doesn't seem to occur if exported as .webp, only saved from elsewhere. Any ideas why, anon?
