Looking for a Ubuntu based ( for software to work ) distro that's lightweight enough to run smoothly on a decade and a half old imac. I personally already use mint on some devices but considering the old hardware in said device I was wondering whether Lubuntu is worth installing?

debian bookworm with lxqt or use a tiling window manager to make it even more lightweight. i3

Artix is based in that regard, but it isn't beginner friendly. Go with what you are comfortable with bc troons aren't much of a problem for the end user

chuds and troons have some parallel interests for some reason. Mint and Arch seem to the most popular along with Manjaro, but im just quoting steam stats.

Light weight and ubuntu based, huh, il check it out. And yes lel, its super slow because old apple devices get slowed down if you update their firmware. It still has potential to be useful though.

it works on virtualbox with minimal lag and my comp is total garbage, so it'll probably run fine

Troons are generally just autistic men who decide because of endocrine disruption causing hormonal changes that they must be women. I am confident that if you just started giving them sustained testosterone shots to affirm their biological gender this whole concept would collapse quite quickly

That looks sexy, requirements are:
CPU: 1.0Ghz+ (needs to support PAE)
RAM: 512MiB+ for Desktop/LiveCD.
Hard drive space: 7.5GB.
Graphics card and monitor capable of 800×600 resolution
which is super easy for me, so not sure if I should go with more bare bones one. I'm just unsure how relatively old hardware will cope.

Are you familiar with the terminal? You could get by with a window manager.

I only use terminal when I need to use terminal, so I wouldn't call myself familiar with it.
>Window manager
Searched it up, am scared. looks super unfamiliar to me.

How slow is your hardware? The return on investment may be worth it.

You don't need to be scared of window managers they is tons of helpful resources online and config files are easy to understand most of the time.

Use MxLinux
althogh its made by a vocal "antifascist" I didn't see anything political pushed on the actual distro like CoC faggotry or rainbow icons, the distro is stable as hell and systemd free
avoid anything related to niggerbuntu like the plague

Artix is certified chudware (pic rel)
Mint hates israel but has lots of bloat

unlikely, the cause isn't hormonal imbalance but a combination of degeneracy, absent father figure, coom addiction, leftoid mind virus, technocracy and transhumanism, a complete disconnect from humanity and morality and a lack of respect for the perfection of God's creation
they're too far gone and you won't fix that with a simple jab
