Hello fellow DIY'ers, Got a GREAT IDEA?? Looked it up online and NOBODY seems to have thought of it before?
How do you go about getting your IP patented so you can start produce and/or license it out to a large company without getting SHAFTED by schysters, Copied by Chinks(Impossiburu!!) or just having your Idea outright STOLEN by someone else, possibly even someone in the Patent office itself??

In this thread we discuss and trade info on how to secure your idea, get it patented, and begin the process of negotiation with either an established company for licensing and distribution for royalties, or taking bigger steps towards starting a production company yourself, and hiring in /OURGUYS/ and FUCK HR for evermore.

DO NOT POST YOUR IDEAS HERE, AS IT IS A PUBLIC FORUM AND YOUR RIGHT TO PATENT WILL BE LOST

This thread is ONLY for discussions of safe methodology,(until you get your provisional patent, that is.)

>DID YOU KNOW
☼ that it only cost $60-$70 to file a provisional patent?
☼ that places like "InventHelp" (the commercial with the retarded cartoon of the caveman making a stone wheel,)have actually been warned AGAINST by the FCC for practices that are almost but not quite fraud?
☼ that most patent lawyers are IN IT FOR THE MONEY*(no shit, right, but even the good ones will usually try to UPSELL you on "services" you don't need?)
☼ That you could start making money FASTER with your Idea by filing a provisional patent, doing the legwork of your "sales sheet" contacting companies directly, and licensing your idea to them?
☼ that posting your idea BeFORE it's provisionally patented WILL nullify your claim to your own IP, even if it's on a homemade webpage that NOBODY ELSE has even visited?

There are LOTS of pitfalls, but a little knowledge of how it works and how it CAN work can make the difference between you sitting on an Idea that could make you thousands, maybe even MILLIONS of dollars in royalty checks, and the company will very often pick up or help with the costs of converting the provisional Patent to a full blown one.
You just need to do it the right way(s--There are more than one approach) and that great Idea that's been rattling around in that head of yours could make the difference between you being stuck in the Wageslave Goybucks Cycle, and having a nice chunk of change that keeps coming in quarterly.

I know many of you have at least ONE patent-able/License-able idea, like myself, but have been frozen with the Idea that the start-up $$$ is too much for something that won't even break even.(Many such IRL cases)

If you can get past the Boomer presenter and his Landfill cramming, plastic garbage, This guy has solid info on how to do.

(I still can't tell whether or not he's a jEW , but some of the other guys he works with are definitely NOT and are a treasure trove of information.)

*I'm not trying to shill this company exclusively, I'm only showing Anons information that I found after Years of wading through BAD INFORMATION that would have cost me WAY MORE than necessary, or even worse, would've gotten my idea dumped into a pile never to see the light of day again...

Any submissions of good videos and ideas for entry, spitballing generalities on design needs and prototyping tips are WELCOME here.

One is a smol energy generator that goes inside a woodstove chimney,(scrapped for better designs), Earth is Photovoltaic tiles for patios and possibly roof tiles, and the third is a ceramic water filter design for retrofitting into shitty pitchers like brita..
>>15
I've posted them on forums before(stupidly,) so I can't patent those exact ones now.
However, Changing parameters and process in a useful way...
And I could still sell the idea as licensure to a company.

Back later to check up, gotta go EASTER now.

It sure does.
But no one should let that stop them.
Almost all "natural" systems here have been Co-opted by ((( International Bankers and Lawyers ))); inventiveness, land ownership, wealth, health and education.
It is a inherent RIGHT to be able to live without paying someone for the privilege. You aren't guaranteed anything, and it sure as fuck isn't going to be given to you, but somehow the game has been tilted for everybody, and modern humans don't even know it.
They will argue FOR their slavery.

I realize I'm derailing my own thread by following this tangent, but it IS about patents, and it IS a Holiday.

I'd seen that one before, Spoopy stuff.
I really would like to keep this thread DIY centric, howeverthoughbeit.

I'm not averse to discussing this kind of stuff in another thread, But Let me ask you; What are Germany's patent laws like? That is, if you have any experience with them.

In the U.S., the concept of "admission" often implies a presumption of approval until there is evidence to the contrary. In Europe, the approach is often more stringent and requires prior approval or admission before an activity can commence.

>>13 (OP)
1. Chinks will straight up steal from you, patent or not
2. For me, the big issue with my patent wasn't writing it, wasn't even the cost of a provisional patent, but a "now what?" sort of deal. I made something that's better than the competition in all ways, cheaper to make, and nearly ubiquitous... Now what? Where do you take a no-name company and a patent from there? Sales sheets, licensing ideas, etc, what are those and how do I best take advantage? I'll give the videos a watch and report back.

hope you took a look at the videos. there are a LOT.
The big thing for me is, look at the market, SEE who sells it, and who they hire for the manufacturing if you can--and as many as you can. they are saying to shoot for 20-30.

Do as much research as you can on what's out there, then file your provisional patent. It's only $60 but you'll need to use a Credit card for the patent office portal.
You can certainly use a loadable CC paid for with cash, but I'd make it exclusive use, since that card will forever be tied with your personal info. maybe just write "PATENTS ONLY"in fat sharpie.
Hell, it might be a bit of a chick magnet, who knows?

NOW YOU GET TO SAY PATENT PENDING--LEGALLY

USPTO(US PATENT AND TRADEMARK OFFICE)
https://www.uspto.gov/
One of the key things that they keep repeating is NEVER use the company's submission portals. That's apparently like being a competent straight White Man and handing your resume to a HR cunt with manic panic hair color and a star of Remphan necklace.
A smart inventor gets a linked in account, then finds out who the head of development, marketing, etc. is and calls or messages directly.
A little bit of social engineering goes a long way here.
Then just send them an e-mail or tell them directly on the phone that you have a great new innovation and would they be interested in seeing a quick work-up (have the "Sales sheet" already ready) that you could send right over for consideration.

It's my understanding, many of these companies are more than willing to help with all the rest of it under a licensure agreement.

By all means, watch as many of the videos and Q&A streams--maybe toss 'em some coin after you sell, but if the bug bites you,(inventing and licensure,) and you can easily swing the payment; they seem like a good resource for advisors who have experience with this.

Welp! I hope that the lack of posters ITT doesn't mean that /Our/guys aren't inventive, but It was brought to my attention how easily it would be to DOX Frens if they posted their PPAs and Patents.
I'll state again, This thread is merely to inspire anons who may be sitting on patent-able ideas simply because they don't even know where to start, and are currently cash short,(patent Lawyers and fees from the USPTA can run into the tens of thousands.)
>"kek! this nigger hasn't even heard of the Internets...somehow"
Well, I'll tell ya--My "Google-Fu" is black belt status, but with all the AI and algo garbage fucking up even the simplest of searches, finding the information that doesn't fuck you over with bad info isn't that easy.
It took me this long just to find out that licensure doesn't require anything more than a PPA, and if your negotiate well, the company(ies) will pay for it.
All you really need is IP Protection-(Intellectual property, not Internet provider, that's well-nigh impossiburu)

Anyway...I just didn't want to leave my threads untended.
Application filed
I am now PAT. PENDING and can legally liscence my invention to ANYONE without worrying about it getting stolen.

Do patents apply to discoveries, such as in the fields of STEMM? Can one patent a discovery (especially ones with public and private financial rewards) instead of going the route of publishing in an academic journal?

It's because the patent office is really a front for the energy industry (cartel) to suppress innovation under the guise of national security. Once you file for a patent, if it's in a whole list of suppressed tech, you'll be denied and given a gag order as well as told you can never apply or profit from it. Some people attempt to utilize without patenting and they end up like Stanley Meyer. Another approach is to open source/copyleft so hard that it (the invention/tech/knowledge) can't be bottlenecked, but most want to make a gorillion dollars off it so that precluded them. I've been told first hand by petroleum alumni
>"anything more than 15% more efficient that was is already on the market will not be allowed, it would disrupt market forces -- can you invent something less efficient?"
Sickening. The only recourse is public domain, and in that vein, proactively posting publicly >>17 will allow the understanding to reach the masses and shift the Overton window so the human race can embrace the increased efficiency.

Another large problem is that many commoners, especially those without scientific, physics, or engineering knowledge is that
>If it was real some one would be selling it and I could buy it at the supermarket/lumber yard/general store so therefore it's
<to good to be true

I've seen people nonetheless go ahead and try to file for a patent and intentionally make it flawed and leave out more obscure things, such that it is NOT (easily) replicable or when it is replicated without the original inventor the obscure keys are ignored and it seem a worthless device (so you are left alone). Nothing illegal about giving your money to the government *wink wink* however that may have some smaller protections and less TI activity from powers that wish to remain.

t. 4th generation petroleum family (though I ended up outside the industry and disowned, fine by me)

I knew suppression of medical and pharmaceutical discoveries was a thing for the sake of making your body a life-long subscription service, but for some reason it never occurred to me until reading your post that almost **all* general scientific and engineering innovations are suppressed by various industries. I knew they could be morally bankrupt enough to do so, but the stupidity of willfully blocking innovations which betters their own lives and the society they live in was not something I predicted.

You ever hear the "would you rather be a big fish in a small pond, or a small fish in a big pond?"

They choose the small pond.

I believe to publish a new THEORY requires the academic route, but a PROCESS Application, especially if there is no prior art,(any other vying patents for such,) is patentable.

Certainly you can ask the USPTO itself. they likely have resources as well.

>>64
>I've seen people nonetheless go ahead and try to file for a patent and intentionally make it flawed and leave out more obscure things, such that it is NOT (easily) replicable
That's absurd and only leaves you open to litigation.
The best of all patents is one that is as descriptively inclusive as possible
Now, as far as the patent office being a front for the energy cartels,(BULLSHIT; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Patent_and_Trademark_Office ,--but that's not to say that it can't be USED that way today,) but you can definitely go the NO Patent route, Ben Franklin certainly did.
Chinks are on IP like White on rice however, and they will flood your invention faster than you can get a second plate at a Chinese buffet...

**Reminder: DO NOT POST PATENTS or PATENT ART HERE!
You are too easily DOXXAble from that.

UPDATE: I have been Pat.Pending for a month now. I used a dollar tree reloadable CC for the fee, and shooped my own art and diagrams.
With a Licensing agreement, I can leverage into it a full payment of a full patent, which THEY pay for.
In addition, if I can't get closure on a full licensure agreement within the 1 year period, i can always re-apply, with every single change I've thought of and a potential licensee says they want.
...just another $65 for another year.

Sorry I missed you.
a necessary component to an industry, both corporate and cottage, (home market grosses 1.6 BILLION/annually,) and involves an improvement on a 143 year old patent that I was astonished that no-one had ever thought of before.

In my market research, asking ~100 people who responded YES,(IRL while out shopping, prototype in my pocket,) to my question if they did this thing at home(a craft,)... I got a 98% OMG! WHy didn't I think of that, response.
The 2 who weren't at all interested were 2 sour Boomer cunts being served by a zoomer Hamplanet at a shitty craft store...
I think they truly thought I was trying to scam them somehow.
>>67
>That's absurd and only
What more absurd is the glowniggers suppressing the majority of genuine innovations for profit margins. Any following absurdity is simply the result of trying to bypass clown world.

>leaves you open to litigation.
How so? Some one uses your thing, it backfires or simply does not fire. How is that YOUR problem? If they worked with inventor it would not be an issue, and if they admitted to trying to replicate it within time they are criminal, and if they failed to replicate it, again not your issue.

They bank on people naively thinking authority can solve all their issues.
Lol imagine being such a stone-aged retard you can't figure out how to make money in open source, and infinitely use that method to graduate to new open source bizmods, eventually leading to so much IP-value-chain at your finger tips waiting to repurposed into an empire that creates a whole earth epoch. Have fun being a patent troll where you squabble over millions instead of trillions.
I'm back, and with more anti-patent & anti-intellectual property arguments. Enjoy
