I still don't understand the appeal of crypto.

This ain't a troll thread; I don't get it.

Currency is supposed to representative of the economic health of a given society. If the currency is worth a lot, the society is doing well. If the currency is not worth a lot, the society is doing poorly.

What, exactly, does crypto represent? When crypto values fall, what does that mean? When they rise, what does that mean?

I just don't get it. Educate me.

Hi, actual non-glowie non-zogbot fren here. Truth is people investing in crypto are idiots. I'll explain that part last. But first the best part of crypto currently is that it's a medium of exchange without any limitations. You are your own bank. You can be anonymous. When done right nothing anyone can do about it. You can literally transact a billion dollars in Monero from a hilltop using a yagi antenna to connected to starbucks running your own monero node through tor, and there is literally nothing the CIA or NSA can do about it. They won't find you. They won't find the receiver, they won't find your money. You also need "muh tradecraft" before and after the fact, but you get the gist. Do you SIGINT, make sure nobody knows your in that AO HOORAH hurrdurr. Anyways with smart contracts with some simple scripts in cli you can take that billion dollar payout and for example pay 20,000 people in an instant. You can set up payouts terms and dates. So you can go to that mountain top fund your global team and all operations for the next 24 months, having only sat there for 10 minutes. All unbeknownst to IDF, Feds and Zogbots. No need blackmail politicians in Canada to get permission to launder money through Vancouver casinos or to fake flip houses in Toronto or have fake Airbnbs setup in Moldova to clean your money. That's the power that they're afraid of. The true way to keep your money out of Israel's hands.

Now for people investing, these people are just shorted and longing the volatility. Many of them are niggers like that T a t e guy. They are not your fren. They will create a MLM type community around a new coin with some fake a gay vaporware features, pump the coin with hype marketing 101, then dump it while all their dumb sheep that they tricked into buying the coin are left holding an empty bag, then they run off with your money. The fact is crypto because of these pump and dump schemes, I don't ever believe there won't be volatile. Also crypto is not the new thing anymore. The only people who truly got rich in crypto are those who bought when it first became a thing, and that was a few moments after some guy in new york city accepted a bitcoin for the pizza he made in his restaurant. Then the world realized it's a real thing. Everyone then jumped in. The rest is history. But that doesn't really happen anymore. Right now it's just a tool to keep your money out of Jewish hands. So use it for only that. And beyond that have a diversified investment strategy. Invest in gold, precious metals, rare metals, buy property in non-jewish lands, buy art, buy equipment, stock up on food reserves, buy gems, yea have some crypto ready to go, also invest in stocks, mutual funds, max our your 401s or whatever your country has, build companies, invest in companies etc. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Don't be a nigger typing "how to make money online" or "how to get rich from crypto". Work hard, and have a diverse wealth development strategy, that's also anonymous and keeps your money our of the Jewish Military Industrial Complex's greasy fucking fingers.

Im not the best person to explain this but having money that doesnt trace back to your name/credentials. having money that cant be artificially inflated and having money that you can be locked out of by someone else (lets say bankers) again is good. Personally I ignore a majority of crypto and stick only with bitcoin and monero.

I'm glad that you guys replied.
I guess one of the (many) things that confuses me is... What can you actually buy with it?
With a dollar bill, I can go to a store and buy a broom or an umbrella or maybe a hamburger. In summary, I can buy a product.
What can you buy with a bitcoin? It seems that everyone is just using it as an investment, ie I bought a bitcoin at $10,000 and will cash it in or sell it to someone for $11,000.
It just seems like it is trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist.

It's still in the works of being normalized so you obviously cant buy stuff off, idk, ebay with bitcoin. What you can do though, is for example pay for online services (say an AI service) with bitcoin lighting, which I found much better than typing all my credit card details for. Another on could be for transactions you make (whether it's donation or buying) that you don't want tracing back to your name for opsec reasons. Nice part about it is that there is no tax for each transaction you make.

>why can't I buy a hamburger with crypto
Depends where you live, but widescale mainstream adoption has not been reached. If you want to buy a burger with bitcoin you need to go to el salvador or lugano. I've actually bought a kebob with crypto.

>bitcoin is just being used as an investment, like gold.
For most people sure, but it serves different people in different ways. Still good to hold some though, butter golem is going to pamp eet.

Crypto currency wasn't made to be speculated on, it was made so people could escape ((( fiat ))) currency. Private, decentralized currency is actually anti jewish.

Bro, it's not that deep. The appeal is the idea of getting something for nothing. Crypto bros think they're getting something for nothing. Crypto shills want to milk the crypto bros for every penny they can (MUH NEW SHITCOIN IS GOING TO THA MOON BUY BUY BUY NOW NOW NOW DON'T MISS OUT) and then rugpull them. It's fake and gay, just like NFTs, for all the exact same reasons.

>but muh shitcoins are doing so awesome this month!

Yeah, some of the people who buy into other ponzi schemes make money for a while and a few even manage to sell and get out of it with a profit before everyone else gets rugpulled. It's unusual, though. Almost everyone who puts in money loses everything.

>but muh economy of the future!

Econ 101 time. A government issued currency may represent precious metal, or it may represent a portion of the nation's economic productivity. It can be used freely for commerce and to store wealth, so long as the government issuing it isn't Zimbabwe.

On the other hand, when you pick up crypto, turn it over, and look at the underside, there's nothing there. There's nothing at all.

>no see acktchewally we are calculating cryptographic hashes that we can barter to one another and trade for shitcoins that can be bartered for more precalculated cryptographic hashes and buy more in hopes of selling them later at a profit

Can I pay my rent with it? Can I buy groceries with it? Can I do anything at all with it other than pay the ransomware guy in Russia to unfuck my computer? None of it has any intrinsic value whatsoever. It's fake and gay.

>but it allows me to send my life savings to my new best friend in Nigeria! he's a prince in exile! and the government will never know! I'm gonna be rich!!!!!111oneoneeleven

That's called money laundering. It's illegal.

>but muh Dark Web, muh Silk Road, I want to use shitcoins to get muh cocaine and CP mailed to my door in a box wrapped in plain brown paper!

Kek.
