that's not my argument, and I'm not disagreeing as an old S-3 D&D module player.
I'm just saying that these tabletop games have been a thing for hundreds of years, and had I known about this book as a young boy, I probably would have been playing much more sophisticated "Army Men" games in the backyard.
Some dice, some string or a smol tape measure and pad of paper that lines out hit-points and rules per game or whatever is a thing I hope to see young boys re-discover instead of sitting on a couch or their bed and staring at a screen for hours on end...
