Germany has banned Max Märkl, a German citizen, from leaving the country to attend the 2026 Remigration Summit in Portugal.
The authorities say his presence there would tarnish Germany’s reputation:
“The naming of the ‘Remigration Summit’ as well as the published descriptions of the event suggest that the right-wing extremist concept of ‘remigration’ will be the main topic of the event.”
The conspiracy theory of the ‘Great Replacement’ is used to spread the view that political elites are deliberately promoting mass immigration in order to replace the native peoples and cultures of Europe.
