anyone here likes to read?

i'm all excited because i bought a little e-ink device to read books on and it is amazing, i had no idea how good this shit is. i found mine for 35€ used and it is 12 years old and it uses micro-usb and the battery is still strong.

i had hoped that this type of display is way better to use in the sun then a laptop and a phone and this turned out to be true. the sun was always annoying and now finally i found a way to enjoy it.

is very exciting to me, i had no idea how enjoyable this is and this has opened up reading to me. i could only listen to audiobooks while riding bike or going for walks but this is amazing, i have been thoroughly missing out, in case you miss out on this wonderful invention like i did, i encourage you to look into it.

apparently not. now i know what bill hicks felt like when some rural normie said to him

"hey boy, what are you reading for?"
I wanna get one, probably easy to read, easy on the eyes I mean.

i use a kindle paperwhite OP
it has it´s own light since i mostly read before going to bed.
also, since amazon did some update that removed the original functions that it had, it´s been years since i disabled the wifi permanently into the airplane mode. so i only get books and send by USB to it. i read a lot of books without any big headache, yes sometimes i lost the auto-letter size function, but having a lot of books into a small gadjet that really has battery enough for days, it´s worth it. i am trying to write my own book, but today with backdoors and IA core, running on background of windows n shit, i am trying to find a platform to write without any leak of my original content. but enjoy your books OP. i really love libgen, i tried to have enough money to run a server to host all libgen books backup, but i am from 3rd world country. i know AI can read books for us and resume, but is still too imprecise for information decoding.
i kind of wanted to get one. remarkable seems to have a couple good ones. boox seems alright but i guess it's paywalled behind some gay app/cloud bullshit to get full functionality out of it. probably they all do to some extent because CY+11.
is there a good color one that can do graphics for cad? i always wished i could just run fusion or something on a tablet right in my hand.
this ereader shit is a meme, it's broke ass niggers cope for not being able to afford iPad. There I said it

low quality post really, e-readers are good to reduce strain on the eyes.

i've never owned an apple anything in my whole entire life. i'm not about to start now.

You can apply blue filter on most modern devices, or maybe even download some system wide color change app that lets you mess with the device's colors. There's no reason to buy ereader in modern day unless you're broke nigga.

>materialist keeps pretending an ipad would be superior to an e-reader
>even with the blue filter, or the system wide color change app, the eye strain is still too much
>e-reader was created for actual reading
>that would mean significantly less strain, on the eyes.
>an ipad cannot compare.
>also talks like a nigger

It's easier to get all kinds of e-book formats on ipad, whilst the e-reader might be limited only to select few formats. Also you can do other stuff with iPad than just read. Keep coping, brokie.

>spend a bunch of money on some ishit that's a halfass cross between a phone and a laptop that is less convenient than a phone and not as powerful as a laptop so that you can pass the judgement of a random stranger you will likely never meet

Now you are on here simply to argue ,for the sake of arguing.
Nobody respond to this bloke no more.
the wonderful thing about an e-reader is the e-ink display. it can be used in direct sunlight. normal phone or tablets are annoying to use when the sunshine is strong. they get too warm and they have to outshine the sun for the user to be able to see anything, making them lose battery faster.

the e-ink is just pleasant to look at in daylight and i like that it doesn't have apps on them. just the book. phone or tablet aren't just the book, they are distraction machines who always need something from you, they are always notifying. also the normie phone and normie tablet is a privacy nightmare, just feels bad to carry the spying device around.

Nobody is reading stuff in sunlight, that's like 5-10% of its usecase. Most of reading is done in artificial lighting/indoors. This is like you saying you're autist enough to go play nintendo switch or some other handheld in a park bench. That's a (you) problem, normal people don't do this (only redditors and autists do)

Speaking of which, I'm going to buy one very soon. I tried for a long time to read with phones on the go but that shit just never works out for me yet I have no problems reading a paper book
