Freedom is the ability to exit the Federation and make a better one. I already see the panic starting to build in the Ottawa circuit of media sycophants

Yeah I know the show, I watched it growing up. Makes everything fixed with duck tape.

I'm talking about a secession vote which is backed by the States and you're talking about a civil war. That's not the same thing, fed

You think a province can just succeed from a union without conflict?
Replies: >>13590
>>13589
Yes, because the United States is sponsoring it. Alberta will immediately have a security umbrella and Canada wouldn't so much as dare try a march on it. We are immediately set to win through alliance with the United States, even the fed provocateurs who played around with the secessionist concept are seething because unlike WLP fanfics Alberta leaving the union is as simple as a majority vote. There's not a reason to stay within the Canadian federation, it's a country claiming ownership over territory it neither represents fairly and intentionally mismanages. And that is in addition to the cultural marxist and immigrant invasion threat which is destroying everything

I want to see a series of Free Canadian states along the border with the United States, each of it either reconfederating or better yet seeking full status within American union. Whatever the dregs of Ottawa can muster will be what they keep as "Old Canada" left. And frankly, if we do the math all they really deserve to own is a pocket of migrants in ontario, a pocket on the pacific coast, and the basket case of the maritimes who'll soon abandon them for the strong horse in any case once the money's gone. Quebec should be liberated too.

The Canadian project is completely senseless and dead. I will no inflict the curse of this country on my future descendants. Whatever it was, it is no longer. It is ideologically and practically done. The best that can be said of it is that it might wither and die peaceably

When was the last time something like that happened in a first world country?

Things can happen right now my guy. Alberta separatism has been a going on for a very long time. The Canadian political establishment is just starting to hit the panic button now that they've realized they can't contain it

Perhaps your 4eyes shill masters will throw you a few crumbs in the welfare dole for saying that, but I care not. We won't be going back. The Canadian people have made their declaration for freedom as of 2021, this is just the follow through on that wish.

It's such a simple choice.
Either we Canadians give up and suffer in an objectively failed, shitty country that no longer gives us viable political representation, or we go somewhere else. Everyone should be in agreement that it's better to seek political union with America

There's no argument that can be made in defense of modern day Canada except status quo resistance to change or ignorance and complacency. Most of the people voting in favor of the current system have no comprehension that the system they've made is destroying their children.

> Leaders of a right-wing group pushing a conservative Canadian province to secede and form a new nation say they have been meeting with Trump administration officials to discuss how their radical plan can benefit the U.S.
> In three separate, highly unusual meetings with officials from the State Department, they’ve discussed the logistics of Alberta breaking off from Canada, including switching over to U.S. currency and border security.

It's Carn-over

< Donald Trump privately considers taking U.S. out of CUSMA trade pact
> The president has asked aides why he shouldn’t withdraw from the agreement, which he signed during his first term, though he has stopped short of flatly signalling that he will do so, according to the people who spoke on condition of anonymity to describe internal discussions. An official in U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer’s office said that a rubber-stamp of the 2019 terms was not in the national interest and the administration intended to keep Trump’s options open and negotiate to address issues that had been identified. Both officials spoke on the condition of anonymity and declined to directly address whether Trump was musing about an exit from the trade pact. Greer said Tuesday that the administration would hold separate talks with Mexico and Canada, arguing that trade ties with Canada are more strained. He did not say whether Trump would approve an extension.

The Government is shooting itself in the foot to stop an arterial bleed. The real threat to Canada is the steady deterioration of legitimacy and trust in government. The United States is very likely going to begin pressure tactics to force an actual vote to take place. Canada's strategic position is so weak there's not much recourse if such a push happens

Supposedly only a minority supports independence, but if that is also a lie they have all been galvanized. Many suspect it is closer to 30-40%. If the long game continued and America still sweets the pot they're likely to sponsor an event more organized bid. I know the criminal gov was shaking in its boots over this so more in the same direction would be wonderful

It is admitted by the establishment that 30 percent support independence. The reality could by far higher.

More people dislike the natives than want independence, this roadblock could quite literally polarize the fencesitters.

The government's conduct causes the resentment and distrust they claim comes from misinformation. The GOC wants everything their way, everyone to agree, nobody to talk back, and this to go on forever. Of course the results are awful, Alberta was deliberately underdeveloped and screwed by the urban state managerial class because they dislike conservative power centres. Ottawa treats it's role like colonial governor, and neglects its own holdings in favor of insane leftist social policy. And now that this is in disfavor they think they can rebrand and pose as patriots or something stupid. The real target audience for "Canada" is a fresh off the boat migrant from subsaharan Africa who will work in a sweatshop for 30 years and vote liberal with no questions. Obviously everyone outside this bloc has no investment in the country.

The Ottawa mode of governance, which is state fabricated consensus and Eu style pseudo democracy, is a total disaster. We are still on the WEF plantation over here

Okay, good news. Premier Smith, who takes support from separatists but is not exactly one herself, is going to bypass the political ruling and allow a vote anyways. These insane leftist judges need to be completely expelled from the judiciary. We've seen this tactic happen everywhere now

Canada just signed a deal to pump oil to China. This all but guarantees it will be treated as a hostile entity going rogue in a great powers orbit, similar to what happened in Ukraine. We live in very interesting times
