The timeline:
>kick the Greenland tripwide with some minor diplomatic scuffle of no import
>Canada and America now in a de facto "state of war" per Carney
>Occupy (Liberate) the friendly republic of Alberta with little green men you already have stationed there in advance, while supported by the majority population of the province, in a sort of victory lap (zero fighting).
>Then grant them nominal independence on the pathway to merger, averting accusations of conquest
>Alberta Referendum to merge obviously passes and that's that
>Canada throws in the towel instantly

Sooooo, is the greenland war actually going to happen now?

Also. I will state this. NATO is drafting plans to fight America in a war. Serious plans, not just the joking kind. That's why a poodle like Carney is suddenly acting tough.

The thing about it is, NATO can't do shit. They are a paper tiger with Nuclear capabilities. Most of their member states are deeply unpopular eurocrat despotism molded by American cultural export to begin with. Now they lost their pivotal backstop to relevance and are a worldwide joke. They need Donald more than he needs them, but they also hate him and want to run courses parallel to his rule. So they truly did this to themselves. He might as well ask for a permanent European military base just like Kalingrad is to the Russians next
>America takes greenland with nary a shot fired: "It's to stop the Russians and ensure Atlantic defence, I had to do this. I'll compensate"
>Eurocrats pissing and shitting themselves: "NoOoO it's against the rules based international order, you are the evil orange man now! Fuck you Drumpf!"
>Don't do shit. The ultimate phony war ensues
....
>(Pressure over Russia mounts, guess we have to court America for military backing again)
>(We'll paper over the dispute, what's a bare strip of earth a thousand miles away from us anyways?)
>America compensates for the seizure of greenland financially, it's great!
>Okay Trump, you stole Greenland! Here's your title deed! Hmpf!

I think this could be the exact moment the European Union gets revealed to the entire world as a paper tiger

I think you are conflating the desire of Albertans to just become part of USA. I think a majority would much rather become an independent client state. Maybe like the Philipines, independent, but extremely reliant on the USA.

Hell Alberta should tie it's currency to the price of a barrel of oil, but that shit would get us Ghaddafi'd.

Also, fuck Canada. Alberta will be fine being the Lesotho to Trumps South Africa.

This is entirely true. There cannot really be a 51st state that would be popular, there can only be a new American union (or in Canadian, a confederation) which loosely umbrellas a network of free Canadian states.

But the pathway to freedom for Canada, is the threat of hard power allowing them to hold real and unhampered referendums. Currently the so-called democratic system over here is a complete farce. The opinions of distant, foreign others determine what the Canadian people may say and think. It is nothing but a new variety of colonial nation premised on the dis-empowerment of the existing populace.

We should separate the concept of Canada from the Carney-liberal government. That's Toronto, Ottawa, and Vancouver. They aren't the country and they don't get to hide behind the flag as patriots any more. The Canadian people want freedom, the globalist liberals want the great reset
