What is the general consensus on webtoons/manhwas here? What are your thoughts on them?

I was born too late to watch or know any of them.

Friend... manhwa is a relatively newer form of media.

Manhwas are the last stand of "based" Asian media. I'll give some recommendations:
- Omniscient Reader
- Jungle Juice
- Viral Hit
- Killer Peter/Pietro
- Study Group
- Samadhi (short)
- Pick Me Up
- Mr. Baek
- Lookism (only really good for the first 100-200 chapters)

Never read any of these, although I have heard of Omniscient reader and Jungle Juice. Give me a rundown on their plots.
I only read "My Step Mom" and "Soothe Me"

Any recommendations like the two above?

Omniscient Reader: One of the most popular manhwa/webtoon ever, MC's favorite novel comes to life and he uses his novel knowledge to navigate the new apocalypse-game world.

Jungle Juice: Can't remember much rn but there's a community of people who get powers from merging with bugs because of some weird chemical spray. Pretty good.

Viral Hit: Bit of a slow burn at the start but dweeb MC learns how to fight and starts a fighting YouTube channel where he beats up mostly bullies for money.

Killer Pietro: Korea is ran/influenced by a shadowy mafia-esque organization that maintains its power by adopting orphans and turning them into assassin spies. MC is one of the first in this project who contributed the most and he is the highest "disciple" Peter. The organization wants to kill him (he's now 60~) and he magically inhabits the body of his 18 year old self. Hard to explain, just read it.

Study Group: Similar to Viral Hit but more focused on a team and school gang territory dynamics.

Samadhi: MC gains superpowers after talking to his friend from basic training who has them.

Pick Me Up: MC plays this game where you climb a tower with random heroes (gacha game) and then finds himself as a rolled hero underneath someone else's game. He has to use his knowledge of the game to survive.

Mr. Baek: Another fighting one in the same vein as Viral Hit, Study Group and Killer Pietro. I haven't read much of it, admittedly, but it has a lot of chapters.

Lookism: The progenitor of all fighting manhwa (I think). The story is decent but only up to around the 200 chapter mark. The story's been going on for like a decade now and has almost 600 chapters.

All of these have either really good or decent art, are either completed or ongoing with many chapters, and some like Omniscient Reader are considered to be the best manhwa ever. Though I've read probably hundreds at this point and I could give more recommendations if anyone wants them.

Checked out Omniscient Reader and I like the artstyle. I'm currently on Chapter 37 and it has an interesting plot so far. I'll check out the other manhwas you listed too but this one has like 200+ chapters so It'll be a bit before I get to the others. Thanks for the rundown.
Also, isnt this getting an anime adaptation?

>Also, isnt this getting an anime adaptation?
Yep. Lookism also got an anime adaptation and Viral Hit. The future is webtoons getting adaptations because Nippon writers cant make anything new.

Sweet, I figured manhwas were gonna be more what Japanese anime corps lean towards. Manhwas are still a niche, but they are getting more exposure by the day.
I know Lookism and Solo Leveling got anime adaptations and I watched a bit of the Solo Leveling one. It's good.

I don't read many pornhwas but I really liked The Main Character Is The Villain . Shame that it got axed, it was a really entertaining one too.

The only harem end SFW manhwa I know is Na Kang Lim and that one has crossdress chapter. This form of comic is still niche if you ask me. Less niche then manhua. Does it even have a physical form?

they're pretty shit or porn, or both

There's an image of a page I've seen a few times of a guy confronting some "thugs" and he says something like
>I've hardened my fists.
>I didn't come here to talk, and I don't plan on leaving unharmed.
>All I know is I will answer malice...
>...with violence.

The (apparent) left-to-right orientation of the panels make me think it's probably a manhwa rather than a manga. Anybody know if it is or what it is or have any idea what I'm talking about?
